8 Power Steering Fluid problem of the 2009 Dodge Journey

Failure Date: 02/01/2019

The power steering return hose at the rack position broke in below freezing conditions when I first started it a few weeks ago. The hose is broke and it's leaking power steering fluid and it's hard time steer the vehicle at times. Other 09 dodhe Journeys have been recalled, but mine, sxt awd was not included in the recall according to the VIN number. I feel it should be and the hose is still currently broken. I am on a fixed income and this needs to be fixed by Chrysler instead of out of my pocket. It is higher mileage and the motor is not the original but that should not make a difference to me. The vehicle was parked at the time of the incident.

Failure Date: 11/29/2018

Power steering return line ruptures in cold weather. There is an open recall for same make, model, and year but my VIN number is not under that recall. Recall #s08. I have had this issues since I bought the car used in 2013. Every year when it gets cold out I start the vehicle and the line burst leaking power steering fluid everywhere. I have not had the money to replace the lines and this has been happing for 5 years now. This has now created a seal on the power steering pump to leak as well. Now I have power steering fluid all over my entire engine because of the pump leaking everywhere. I called Dodge and they were not helpful told me it's a VIN specific issue and there is nothing that they can do about it when I'm clearly having the same exact issue. Please help!!.

Failure Date: 01/15/2018

My 2010 Dodge Journey is leaking power steering fluid, will not hold power steering fluid, making loud grinding noises wen I turn, accelerate etc. This is a recall and this VIN should be included in that recall. I am so disappointed with Chrysler Dodge because this is a common issue. If need be I will file any kind of suit necessary! there are many others with the exact problem exact model and year, it's not a coincidence.

15 Power Steering Fluid problem of the 2011 Dodge Journey

Failure Date: 01/06/2018

When I start my Journey, the power steering goes out and there is a huge puddle of fluid under my car. I've looked on line and the exact same problem is happening and being recalled, yet my car hasn't been. I don't understand that if the leaking is a safety problem, why my car is not included. The leaking occurs in extreme cold weather, which is what wisconsin has been having. I haven't been able to use my car for a month, or more, unless I fill it up with power steering fluid every time! my Journey has the block heater that is part of the problem of the leaking, I guess. Either way, the recall should include all Journeys with this same exact problem! we have used all kinds of clamps to hold the hose on, but it still happens. This isn't just a one date that this has happened, its been 17 times in the last two months, if not more.
