The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Magnum. While driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle overheated. The contact drove onto the emergency lane and after thirty minutes added water to the radiator reservoir. The vehicle was taken to several authorized dealerships but the dealers could not find the duplicate or diagnose the failure. The contact also smelled smoke in the vehicle. The contact stated that someone else drove the vehicle and observed that the temperature and oil light illuminated on the instrument panel prior to the engine shutting off. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the contact was informed that the oil pump failed. The dealer was also inspecting to see if the water outlet valve was defective at when the complaint was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000. The current mileage was 90,359.
