Automatic Transmission Column Shift Problems of Dodge Magnum

I purchased this vehicle brand new in 2005. Three months after the purchase, the car would not shift out of park. The vehicle was still under warranty at this time. Six years later, the car has done the same thing again. After a quick research of google, yahoo, and youtube, I noticed that thousands of people are having the same problem. A recall is not in place for my vehicle but is in place for others with the same shifter and make that was told to me by the dealership. A recall should be in place. Please look into this matter.
