The word "airbag" stayed red. My local mechanic said the air bag would not deploy in a crash. He did not attempt to repair. As rain water is leaking into the trunk and from there into the floor of the back seat I wondered if the water seeped into the circuitry. I did not have time to bring to the dealer yet - but the air bag deployed for no reason while I was driving.

I took my car to mckinney Dodge in easley s. C. They checked it out and said that the electrical contact spring was broken and I needed a new one. My warrenty had ran out they said. They also told me that my airbag would not deploy even if I had an accident. I should not have to pay 165. 00 for something like that when I have only had the car for 7 months. According to mckinney Dodge when I bought the car I had 2 yrs or 25,000 miles. Now they said that was for when it was new. It had almost 14,000 miles on it when I bought it back in March. They failed to tell me that warrenty was for a new car. I hope you will invesdicate this for me. My horn won't work due to this problem either. Dt.
