1 Axle Assembly problem of the 2005 Dodge Neon

Failure Date: 12/22/2006

- the contact has a 2005 Dodge Neon with an odometer reading of 29000 miles. The contact stated that under dry conditions while driving at 65 mph the driver side cv joint failed, which caused the contact to lose control and hit a bridge. The contact had the car towed to the dealer, and is waiting for the vehicle to be fixed. The contact also called the manufacturer about the failure, and they instructed the contact to have the vehicle fixed and then they would replace the drive axle. Also, a police report was taken.

2 Axle Assembly problem of the 2002 Dodge Neon

Failure Date: 09/05/2005

: the contact stated while driving 60 mph on normal road conditions, the front passenger axle fractured. There was a noise prior to the failure. The nature of the failure was gradually worsening. The vehicle was taken to the service dealer, who changed the axle, but after a year the axle fractured again.

3 Axle Assembly problem of the 2002 Dodge Neon

Failure Date: 05/13/2004

First engine lights starts to come on - second notice that one morning car starts to make loud sqeaking noise - third take it to the mechanic (49000mi) and he can't figure out what's wrong - he replaces entire front. . . Axle, boots, etc. Car still makes same noise and sounds like it's about to fall apart.
