Failure Date: 05/03/2016

I bought this car with 49000 miles on it. I was driving everything seemed fine then I slowed down for a stop sign to between 3 and 7 mph and the whole thing just locked up. I tried every gear but nothing would unlock the tranny. . It's still locked up now I had to get it towed. . Luckily I was on a little two lane road with not much traffic so there wasn't to many mad people I feel Dodge should take care of there problems and problem cars. . Im not asking for much just for my car to make it over 50000 miles.

On or about March 1, 2013, my 2005 Dodge Neon began to have clutch problems. On March 11, 2013, I brought the Neon in for repairs at the dealer I purchased it at. The repairs took 3 week. On July 10, 2013, I drove to the denver v. A. From cheyenne, wy and on the trip back to cheyenne, wy, the clutch went out completely and suddenly. I called the Dodge dealership in loveland, CO on July 11, 2013 to set-up an appointment for the repairs and after waiting for 4 hours for them to call me back with a time they would schedule an appointment, I called someone else, who set me an appointment right than and there.

9 Power Train problem of the 2004 Dodge Neon

Failure Date: 07/23/2012

I have a Dodge Neon 2004 when driving to school the car started accelerating on it's own which was very risky. It was revving up to 3200 rpm atg 40 mph I had to pull by the side of the road all of a sudden I saw a leak behind the plate on the transmission the check engine light came on too bad. I was wondering if there is any recall on this car because I can see a lot of complains from other individuals on here. There are a lot of safety issues regarding the Neons revving up or accelerating on it's own.

Had to pull off to the side of the road. Nursed the car home at 40mph and ran obdii scan. Got a camshaft position sensor intermittent signal failure code. Replaced sensor from advance auto parts on 2-18-2009. Car ran fine until 7-7-2010 when same thing occurred. Pulling out into traffic to get up to speed when engine stopped pulling and started to shut down. Had to get out of the way of approaching traffic from behind and pull off the road. Check engine light, car would run but not over 2000 rpm . Got it home and scanned it and sure enough same defect code, cam shaft position signal intermittent. 14 Power Train problem of the 2002 Dodge Neon

Failure Date: 12/15/2002

When I come to a complete stop the car jerks. It kind of feels like its changing gears. I have brought the problem to southside Dodge on south orange blossom trail in kissimmee, florida about four times. The first time they performed recall b27 and said that that wasn't the problem. So they went back and found the problem. Fixed it and noticed it on the way home but didn't think anything of it. About 9320 miles later it was as bad as the first time I brought it in. They told me they had to perform a flash to reprogram the computer. Ok took their word for it. Went home did it all the way home. Called them when I had returned home and they said it had to memorize the way I drive. Give it a couple of days. Gave it months till I could bring it in again. Third time I bring it in they had the transmission mech. Come and drive so I can point out the problem. So and so forth the problem banged when we came to a stop and came to the dealership. He went and talked with the service advisor and he came out. He told me they had to erase the memory of the car and reprogram the computer because since there is two drivers it learns the way one driver drives and when the other driver drives the car it messes up and you get this problem. So there is nothing wrong with the car. The sevice manager drove the car and never returned with an answer. The fourth time I brought the vehicle in they did the same thing to me as last. Let me remind you the last two times I had brought the vehicle in they told me they would send an invoice in the mail for my conveniance, haven't received either. I think I'm getting jeked around here and I would like to get this problem resolved. All I'm asking for is the problem fixed. Can you please help?.

After about 20 seconds the needle goes to zero and remains there. In addition to having no idea what your speed is the odometer is disabled . On the most recent failure turning the car off ,while in a resturant for 45 minutes seemed to clear up the problem. Upon resuming our trip we had the speedometer and odometer working.
