Five problems related to fuel hoses lines/piping and fittings have been reported for the 1996 Dodge RAM. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer stated vehicle leaked excessive fuel.
While shutting vehicle off fuel shutoff solenoid caught on fire. Restarted starter, and vehicle would not shut off even when turning key. Burned wires and was smoking under hood. Consumer finally got vehicle shut off. Dealer contacted.
Returned fuel line became bubbly due to being burned from resting against intake manifold. Fuel leaked out of the area where it was burned. This vehicle has a diesel engine.
The fuel line hose is busted and spraying fuel everywhere. The problem was reported to the dealer and manufacturer. Problem has not been corrected. Please provide any further details.
Consumer started truck and the fuel line clip came loose and all the gasoline spilled out, please describe .
