Five problems related to fuel pump have been reported for the 1996 Dodge RAM. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving at 25 mph vehicle was running very roughly. Vehicle was taken to the dealer, who found that fuel tank and fuel pump were contaminated.
Fuel pump went out while setting at a gas station, I shut off the engine, put gas in and the pump must have died right there, this has happened to my fathers truck ( a 1994 Dodge) and a neighbors truck (after 1994 Dodge) also.
When driving there is loud noise coming from fuel pump. Also, when applying the gas pedal vehicle won't move, and will just idle.
