Carrier/rack problems of the 2000 Dodge RAM

Trailer hitch is cracked. If carrying a boat or trailer and it pops off there would be a huge accident. When contacting dealer, he told consumer that vehicle was not covered under recall 00 v 07 000. Please provide any further information.

Consumers had found on a routine check cracks on hitch. Manufacturer said that vehicle was not under warranty, and there was no way to help consumer in this situation. The consumer suggests that the manufacturer conduct inspection on 3500 series vehicles if any other hitch failures other than the one on recall, have occured.
