"takata recall" on August 3, 2017 in response to a recall notice from car pros renton Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram to have the passenger air bag replaced I took my truck to their shop. Within minutes of leaving the dealership after the air bag was allegedly installed properly the air bag light came on and I called the dealership and they instructed me to bring it back. I rescheduled the return for August 11, 2017. I returned the truck at &:30 am August 11, 2017. I eas told I would need to pay $140 for a diagnosis to determine why their installation failed. A number of hours later they called and said they had determined the problem. When I returned to the dealership they presented me with 11aug17 and informed me it would cost another $289. 95 to replace a switch in the newly installed, recalled air bag. I thought the purpose of the recall was to protect passengers from injuty or death from defective products made by takata and installed by Chrysler and I believe my passengers are still at equal risk as they were before the recall. On the 11aug17 ivoice was a list of 9 items that allegedly needed prompt attention. None of these appeared weeks before on 16aug17 and most had already been addressed by others.

Takata recall I get two recall notices a week about the drivers airbag, and the clutch safety switch. The passenger air bag is also under recall since July 1, 2016, but the dealer does not have the part and I do not get notices about it.
Had drivers side airbag recall installed by dealer. Passenger side not available. With the installation of new air bag on drivers site the switch to turn off the passenger airbag gave red air bag symbol indication problem. . Cost almost $300 to replace switch and still passenger air bag on recall. . Dodge said switch not covered in recall. It should be as no light before replacement. When I drove the vehicle to the dealer. Is the switch covered in recall? if not why not as integral part of passenger side airbag. Vehicle stationary with airbag light on. Dodge dealer returned vehicle with airbag light on to me. I returned for waring light fix. In other word they sent it out of shop with the passenger side waring light on.
15v-313 we have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 that has all the issues I've read on here for complaints. The wind shield wipers only work on the highest setting and when turned off stop wherever on the windshield when you turn the switch to shut them off, the engine seems to be leaking oil some place, have had to replace both front wheel hub assembelies, rear end has foam in the fluid, im guessing from reading this that my rear axel is about to fly out from underneath my teuck while driving by the way it sounds and slips, and now a recall on air bags. I fear everytime I drive behind the wheel of my truck and by the sounds of it after reading all these complaints that there is good reason to fear for my life. How many people have to die before something is done. These vehicles should not be made available to drive if there this dangerous. Sounds like Chrysler should be buying these trucks back so all there customers dont have to risk there lives driving down the road in a poor designed vehicle the produced. Not sure why there allowed to keep them on the streets being so dangerous to drive. Our truck has every problem that people have complained about on here but yet only has one recall when looked up by VIN. Why is that?.

While driving at interstate speed (70 mph), and switching lanes while on a bridge, the excessive bouncing and bad suspension of truck make me lose control of the truck. The truck pulled to the right and the rear end of the truck ended up spinning around, making a complete 180--- on a bridge!! I ended up slamming into the safety rail of the bridge. And the air bags didn't go off. Luckily, I wasn't injured. At first I thought the accident was my fault, but after talking to a few owners of this model, I figured out that many of us have had the same problems with this truck. The question is, why is this problem not being fixed?? I have talked to the dealer, and they just keep referring me to dealers from other towns.
