Louisville Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram. 5311 dixie hwy, louisville, ky 40216. I took my truck into this dealership to have the airbags replaced due to a recall and to have a keyless entry remote programmed. The service tech told me it was going to take a day or two to get the airbags replaced and warned me about possibly breaking my dashboard (without replacement or reimbursement) due to the known cracking dashboards on this truck. I told them to be careful (as the dashboard was in pristine condition) and go ahead with the programming and airbag recall. This was my only ride as I live an hour away, and they did not have a courtesy car for me to use, so they ended up calling an uber to get me home. A few hours later, I got a text from the service tech saying everything was done and I could come pick up the truck. I asked if everything was done, remote programmed and airbags replaced. They said no. . . The next day I tried to text the tech to get a ride back to the dealership but no one responded. I called the dealership multiple times and finally got ahold of a person who had no clue what was going on. They then told me that the tech went on vacation and reassigned my truck to another tech. They couldn’t get an uber back to the dealership, so I ended up driving there with my wife. They gave me a report of the inspection that they did on the truck and it said that the battery terminals were ok even though it has a sheetrock screw holding it in place. On arrival, the truck looked like it wasn't touched. Cover screws still had dust on them and the driver airbag cover was the same. I called them out on it and they reassured me that it was indeed replaced and the driver airbag cover was reused. Many months later I got a carfax report from this dealership and I looked at it to find out that I still have a passenger airbag recall on the truck. I got a letter also saying I should stop driving the truck because of the airbag recall.
Driver warning light came for airbag, yes it could be if deployed, no dealer has confirmed (but looked up recall # 15v459000), called molar said no recall on my vehicle…. , no one else looked at vehicles book says to immediately take to dealer, yes warning light on follow book info and it appeared 9/8/24.

My first and foremost issue is that the current to recalls that are still open on my vehicle or issues back in 2015 it now being 2023 I recently have been notified of this urgent safety recall on my vehicle approximately 2 -3 months ago of 2023. I received my first recall of these currently open safety recalls upon my vehicle. The next day I called a few different shops they stated it would take a few weeks too fit me in. Most definitely being frustrated with this two week duration having to wait to drive my vehicle again making other arrangements far further than just a vehicle of recreational use this vehicle is my livelihood and how I support my family and only vehicle also having a 1-year-old and a 3 year old child makes everything extra complicated trying to have to get around now without my only vehicle with two children dare what I put them in that vehicle now knowing they could possibly have shards of metal explode at any time with the dangerous recall that makes me not even want this vehicle anymore just because of the specific reason. . . The thought of even putting my children back in that vehicle even if these open recalls even if these safety recalls were timely repaired as promised on every single letter that I have received. . . Makes me feel completely unsafe knowing that maybe the replacement also could be defected or the dealership lied and didnt replace my airbags and said they did, as I have had a few different auto mechanic shops say they had replaced items that I paid for them to fix but they were unaware that I had took pictures prior to them working on my vehicle just in case something like so would happen. . . I can go on and on about this situation long story short since I have received my recall letter I have been promptly trying to get the addressed recalls fixed and I am out of patience and I also an absolutely unsatisfied in every which way possible. . . I am demanding the manufacturer to replace my vehicle with a vehicle of equal w/o recalls.
Got in a accident and the airbags did not deploy.
We purchased this vehichle and the steering wheel has a slit through it like its been deployed I would like to make sure it is safe also the side passenger seat the front seems like something is pocking you through the seat like it is not supposed to be there also the whole steering system seems off and not safe . I would like it to be noted and a recall should be made before injury to anyone.
On Feb. 20, 2023 my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 was worked to have a repair for the airbag recall. I spoke with someone at jt's Dodge to set up the appointment prior to 2-20-23 and was never verbally informed that there was a posed risk of my dash being cracked and so I set up the appointment. I tried to update my information but the young lady on the other end refused to update it stating I've been there before in the past. My two listed phone numbers are correct (over 10 years) and my address reflected was not updated to my new home address. On the day of Feb. 20, 2023 I sent my son-in-law to take my truck to have the recalled air bag repaired, which he did. He reports being told in a non urgent, very vague manner that there's a possibility of the dash cracking and per the service manager "it doesn't happen very often but we have to tell you". My son-in-law signed the paperwork to have the airbag repaired. I was gravely ill and unable to take it myself or I would have. He signed the form; the service manager took photos showing there was not any cracks prior to the work being done and other photos showing a crack after the work had been done. I was never contacted at either working phone number listed on file. When I finally reached someone several days later they showed no concern. I now have an 8. 5 inch crack in my dash putting myself and passengers at safty risk. Potential risks: my airbag is not properly pressurized, a delay with or the airbag not deploying at all if involved in a mvc/mva, possibility of the airbag deploying without being involved in a mvc/mva and over time the crack could become larger/longer allowing dirt particles to get into the crack causing electrical problems or a malfunctioning airbag sensor. Which places myself and passengers in great danger at any moment. Apparently this is a known (uncared about) issue as reported by Dodge who has discontinued the dash saying it is "obsolete", refusing to offer repairs or replacement, resolution.
The shifter began changing gears on its own. Before the recall came out my mechanic checked and there was no recall for this until 2018. I was never notified of the recall. Then on rear axle pinion nut. The nuts were installed without the proper amount of adhesive. Consequently, the nuts can loosen, and cause the rear axle to lock up, causing a loss of vehicle control. I was never notified of and the rear end came down while on the freeway. The fuel tank began leaking I repaired this before the recall came out. I submitted a reimbursement request they denied me stating my car was over 7 years old.
The contact owned a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v312000 (air bags) and requested to be removed from the recall distribution list as she no longer owns the vehicle. The local dealer and manufacturer were not contacted.
I tried to schedule with landers Jeep Chrysler Dodge in little rock, arkansas to fix the airbag recall in my truck on two separate occasions in the first occasion I brought it in. They told me it would take four hours on the phone when I got it there they told me it may take a few days and they don’t even know if they have the parts for it and they told me to reschedule in the second time that I brought it in. The service manager told me he couldn’t service it right now.

Frame damage where steering box separates.
The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact had received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v313000 (air bags) and the vehicle was repaired by the dealer. Despite the recall repair, the contact stated that the air bag warning light remained illuminated. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer had offered any further assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 135,000.

Muy loose in diferencial damage back drive axel I diferencial.
I took my truck in for the passenger airbag recall last year at jim cogdill Dodge. They said they fixed it but now I still get calls and am told it isn't fixed. I had already had the drivers side fixed long before that but they didn't have the passenger side. I have contacted jimcogdill Dodge and the Dodge ram people about it and I keep getting different answ ers. I have no idea if they fixed it or not.
On August 1 2020, my 2 adult children and another passenger was in a crash and my truck flipped several times from front to back and all passengers were badly injured and not one of the air bags were deployed. The truck was hit from the passenger side causing the truck to air lift and flip.
I found out there is multiple recalls.
This truck was purchased from autobarn in linden, PA. It was involved in a head on collision while entering a highway on a on ramp and none of the air bags deployed. After investigating it was found that the truck had 2 open recalls for airbags. The owner of autobarn was contacted and explained what had happened and further explained that a bill was passed in 2018 forbidding the sale of any vehicle with open recalls unless the purchaser agreed in writing that the vehicle would be accepted in that condition. No such form was signed. He further stated that he had no idea he was responsible. He was advised that this truck should have never been sold and through his negligence he endangered both occupants in the vehicle in the accident. Autobarn sells many vehicles and I wonder how many others have been sold in violation of this law.
I purchased my truck December 2018 from a private citizen, I recently ran a check for recalls and it informed me that none of the recalls associated with my 2005 Ram 1500 have never been addressed. I would like information as to how I move forward in getting the recalls fixed.
