2012 Dodge Ram 1500 hemi stalls while driving, stopping at red light, or turning. Very dangerous. Then won't start, when it does start it dies instantly. Fuel pump issue. Tipm issue. Dealership external fuel pump relay kit requires cutting wires under the tipm. Dealership will replace tipm for about $1500 it is a Dodge issue should have a recall. Truck sitting in driveway, paying insurance on a truck that won't start. Only 80,000 miles, Chrysler Dodge vehicles frequently have this issue. Please recall them. Thanks can not ever imagine buying a Dodge again.
After each fill up the truck will die while coming to a stop. It will continue to do this until the fuel level is lowered. My research has revealed that it is either the fuel tank or fuel pump. This is the second time I will have to replace the fuel tank. The first time it was under warranty. Not this time. .

My fuel pump quit while using my truck! traced it back to the fuse box. Integrated fuse is to blame. I can not fix this due to availability of the part. And price! normally you have a relay to change! but no! ideas???.

I was driving my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 on the highway when my truck stopped running. Found the fuel pump was no good. I have been an auto mechanic for years and this is very dangerious! I had it towed to the garage daves auto on madison Ave told me the fuel pump was no good also the fuel tank is no good the ring on top of the fuel tank is rotten the "tabs that hold the fuel pump in is rotten" and where the fuel pump sits on the fuel tank is like in a well so when it rains the water on top of the gas tank sits in the fuel pump location has no where to drain and my thery is that is what rotts the fuel pump bracket on the fuel tank! and they said it is not safe I had to get a new fuel tank. I called multipul used auto parts supply companys and every single one who had a gas tank had the same problem was rotten. So I called the dealer scap Dodge of fairfield,CT they have 68 people waiting on back order fuel tanks and they are over $800. 00 redicules. So can you imagine across the country how many people are driving around with a bomb waiting to explode!!!! this is a safty hazzard because any one will tell you that if this faulty fuel tank is rotten gas fuems will escape and cause an explotion or fire even death if the vehical is in an accedent te fuel will leak every where this really should be a recall im scared to drive this and everyone should be to!!!! I really hope you look in to this problem any information you need I have photos if you need them you can contact me ASAP! thank you josh e.

This vehicle has given me many problems and most recently very dangerous ones. A few months ago on my way to work around 4am the drive shaft broke off and flew out at 75 mph. Luckily there wasn't much traffic during that time and the back part of the drive shaft is the one that broke off not the front so the truck didn't flip over. The truck has been repaired since then. Now a few days ago my pregnant wife was driving the truck and it turned off on her in the middle of an intersection while I was working out of town. On my return I found the electric throttle control light on at the dashboard. In doing some research I found that this is typically in relation to a bad fuel pump relay. I found this to be more than common on many Dodge vehicles and obviously a very dangerous problem to have. The fuel pump relay on my vehicle seems to be integrated into the tipm and not serviceable. There also seems to not be a recall for this problem. It now appears I am being forced to spend $1200 on a manufacturer defect. This vehicle has gone from being my daily commuter to a huge liability because I am not sure what will happen next.
My truck was parked at work and at the end of the day it wouldn't start. Had it towed home and I determined that the fuel pump failed. The next day I lifted the bed to replace it and I was shocked to see the whole top of the tank's locking ring tangs were all rusted away and the pump was just sitting in the tank crooked. If it was filled full or in an accident fuel would've slooshed out of the tank. On a rollover the entire tank will empty.
The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving 20 mph, the vehicle stalled and was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the fuel pump, ignition, and ignition reader failed. The vehicle was repaired; however, the vehicle failed to start after the repairs were performed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 116,000.
November of 2016 the original fuel pump was leaking fuel, when it was removed the mounting flange had cracks all the way around the flange. The fuel would leak when it was parked with the engine off. I believe it leaked while it was running and moving.

For a few weeks I would occasionally smell gas fumes. I had the truck visually inspected and the mechanic could find nothing wrong. Then one day I filled the tank. When the tank was full, instead of the pump shutting off the pump began pouring gas onto the ground. This time they dropped the tank to find that the metal collar on top of the tank had rusted away causing the fuel pump to pop up half out of the tank. That was the reason the pump had not shut off . Gas was flowing out of the top of the tank!!. The mechanic told me that if the fuel pump connection had shorted out with the top of the tank open the way it was ,me and anyone in the truck would have been blown up!!!. This was a very poor design on Chrysler's part that has the potential to kill people.
My fuel pump went out and when I went to put the new one in the truck would not start and the guy at the parts store said that the truck might be under recall so I looked it up and the truck is on recall for electrical problems and I had just bought the truck and still per on it and would really like some help getting it fixed or fixing the problem somehow and me myself don't have alot of money so if you could help it would be nice thank you very much.

My 2005 Dodge ram srt-10 viper truck engine stalls/shuts down without warning, no codes, no errorlights while driving. . . I have a problem with my truck stalling out when parking or going through slow turns. In the middle of an intersection¿while an emergency vehicle was approaching, it died and I slowly drifted over to an adjacent curve. . The most recent was on 11/06/15, but it has happened at least 5 times over the past 5 months. All lights and the radio remain on and it starts right back up, however my steering and brakes lock up which is a huge safety concern. When the steering wheel is turned my rpms drop dramatically and it sounds like the truck wants to stall. Started surging and stalling so in it went in again, this time they replaced the iac module . . . And then they thought it might be the fuel pump¿so they tested the fuel rail and claim that it was losing 5% of its torque¿but not to be concerned¿then they thought it might be the map sensor¿but no !. . . Again with no indication, no error lights; and no codes¿ ¿ and the dealership mechanics still can not get it to run without shutting off once you step on the accelerator it dies¿ to dealer for checkup. Could not and can not find the problem. And they charged me $967. 00 why can¿t fiat-Chrysler save face when they know a part problem exists and just fix it right without ripping off customers ? the mopar mechanics have had my truck since November 6th, 2015 , (over two months ) and still can not figure out what is wrong with it¿. . ¿they want me to pay more money while they explore different options they claim that the fiat-Chrysler coprporation engineers want them to try¿ ¿really. . Ss you are asking the consumer/customer to fund the education of your mechanics¿fiat-Chrysler really ????? please recall these trucks before some-one or some-family gets killed please. . Please !!.

Just took my vehicle into the shop on 2/17/15 due to the battery being dead as a result of the fuel pump running all night. Aaa certified shop just informed me it would cost 1600. 00 to replace the tipm and program it for my key etc. There is a faulty fuel pump relay inside the tipm and I have to replace the enitire module. This issue is most likely related to the durango/Jeep recall for the exact same issue, as well described in the class action lawsuit. It is not covered by any warranty.

I was driving home christmas day 2014. Truck just shut off in middle of road and came to a rest. I did manage to restart it and when I did I received all kinds of error lights. Then truck shut down again. Had it towed to garage and mechanic determined it was a bad fuel pump. Now all the warning lights stay on and will not reset. Serv 4wd light. Trac control light. Reverse assistance sensors are inoperative. The fuel cap light. Abs light. Two tpms lights. Eps system light. Cruise control does not work. . . . And truck constantly shuts off while driving. I have replaced abs sensor and fuel cap but to no avail. Please help.

Truck will not start. Technician found an internal fault on the tipm module. Will need to be replaced. Currently, there is a fault of the tipm module, if the tipm module fails (loss of power to fuel pump), could lead to a crash/loss of life.
There is no power going to my fuel pump. The fuses are good . The only thing I can come up with is tipm not working.
Truck will not start, stalls out in traffic and fuel pump continues to run even after vehicle is turned off and key removed. Diagnosed as totally integrated power module. Dodge recalled the same part on the 2011 durango but not the ram pick up.
My Dodge Ram 1500 (2010) had its fuel pump fail. I would lose power while driving and had difficulty starting. In order to start the vehicle, I would have to turn the ignition to the on position, wait a moment or two, then start the truck. If I didn't wait the truck wouldn't start. Sometimes while accelerating from a stop or even to pass, I would notice a lack of power as if the engine was starving for fuel. Two or three times it would stall while waiting at an intersection for the light to change to green. I took my truck to a Dodge dealer for the problem and was told it was because the fuel pump only lasts 4 to 5 years and that was why it failed. I had to pay to have it replaced. Since I didn't have over $800. 00 I had to purchase an extended warranty plan in order to get it changed.
Front end shook bad, engine light flashing. Truck cut off. Would not start. Towed to dealer. Was told to drive 50-several hundred miles for computer to reset. Engine light never went off. Truck did the same two more times! taken back to dealer Jun 5th. Then told evap leak. . Engine light still on after this time as well. Told to do the same thing. Keep driving it until the computer resets!!! was driving at 55 mph and light started flashing and front end shaking so I pulled over. Sputtered and cuts off. So again it has been taken to the dealer and has been there since about July 19th to date!! have been told fuel pump was cracked, ordered and on back order. And misfirings on fuel injectors #7 and a random one. Warranty covered nothing. What if it cut off in an intersection?!! first time drained some water from fuel tank. Now saying possible sugar in it. However. . Neither would damage a fuel pump! I believe this dealership is lying and tampering. I had to pay for the first time around $900! I have had no vehicle during these times. This is a very dangerous and life threatening situation.

Truck began stalling with engine shuitting off at random: while driving, at stop lights, etc. Truck would not restart for various lengths of time. Diagnosed as a bad fuel pump. Fuel pump replaced with no improvement in behavior. Diagnosed as intermittent random no electrical power to fuel pump module caused by malfunctioning tipm. Replacement is $900-$1100. Told this is a common occurence with Chrysler/Dodge tipms, with no guarantee of non-recurrence. Total loss of engine power due to a shut down of the fuel pump module while driving did not result in an accident, but the potential for an accident was huge. Dodge dealer does not acknowledge a problem with tipms, but their mechanic has communicated that there are so many issues with tipms, that they have the part on back-order. Please look into the tipm problem and Dodge's complete control over the replacement/programming of these modules, holding owners hostage.
The contact owns a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 mph, the vehicle suddenly stalled. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump had caught on fire, burning and melting the fuel tank. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 120,000.

Totally integrated power module malfunction. Fuel pump constantly stays on, even when no key in truck, drains the battery.
The contact owns a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled multiple times. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and the fuel pump module was repaired. A second repair was performed on the vapor canister, but the failure recurred. The dealer stated that the integrated power module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 53,292.
The contact owns a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that the fuel pump remained activated when the vehicle was powered off. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
The contact owns a 1994 Dodge 1500. The contact stated that he noticed that the fuel mileage had significantly reduced. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnosis where the contact was advised that the fuel pumped would have to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified but offered no assistance. The failure and current mileage was 45,000.
Since the truck was new it would spew gas from the filler tube after the fuel pump shuts off. There is an extended warranty on the fuel tank inlet check valve. Even though my problem is exactly what is described, because my VIN number search doesnt show my truck as being invlolved in the problem, Dodge will not fix the check valve.
