There are multiple electrical issues I’ve had to trouble shoot over the past 4 months. As I’ve researched other people with the same issues online, I’ve bee seeing a lot about some recalls pertaing to electrical issues and fuel issues and so I am wondering if there are prior recalls that I might need to have taken care of which I feel could fix my vehicle issues.

While driving my ram truck at approximately 55 mph, the front gas tank strap failed, causing the front portion of the fuel tank to drop below the vehicle’s body. Upon inspection, I found that the strap securing the tank had detached from its connection point on the frame. The failed part is available for inspection upon request. This incident presented a serious safety hazard to myself and others on the road, as the entire fuel tank could have separated from the vehicle, creating a significant risk of fire or collision. The issue was reported to a local dealership, which advised me to contact Dodge. Dodge acknowledged the issue but stated there is no warranty coverage or recall, and that any repair would be at my expense. No formal inspection has been performed other than my own, and I have implemented a temporary repair to secure the tank. There were no warning lights or prior symptoms before the failure. The only indication was a loud clunking noise followed by the sound of the strap repeatedly striking the drivetrain.
I noticed while looking underneath my vehicle the front fuel tank strap was no longer attached. Further inspection show the frame had rusted enough that the fuel tank strap is no longer attachable. I noticed a recall (u04 / NHTSA 18v-160) was available however my VIN shows no record of this recall being available. So no dealer will assist me with it although my vehicle meets all of the prerequisites the recall states. Currently undriveable due to safety concerns.
Front gas tank strap pulled out from (rusted)-frame. Dropping front of (full) gas tank inches from road. I’m told there was an extended warranty for the issue. That I never received notice of. It has since expired. I found recall - u04/NHTSA 18v-160 that I’m also told doesn’t apply to my vehicle. Odd that the extended warranty would have. But the recall doesn’t?.
Pulled in driveway and without warning the rear gas tank strap broke due to corrosion, which left my gas tank hanging about 2 inches off the ground. Thankfully this did not happen when I was on the highway. The tank drop could have made contact with the road surface which could abrade the tank, create a hole from which gasoline can spill and cause a fire hazard, accidents with other vehicles, bodily injury and possibly death. We replaced the straps but felt it was important to make this report due to us finding recalls on gas straps for other Dodge ram trucks. I feel there should be a mandatory check and replace notice on these gas straps.

While driving down the highway I hit a bump then got a severe grinding noise in my 2012 Ram 1500. I pulled over and found the front gas tank strap had pulled out of the welded frame bracket for the fuel tank strap. The strap was not broken, the front fuel tank frame bracket had rusted out. The front fuel tank bracket which is welded to the frame needs to be repaired so the fuel tank strap will be held securely. The grinding I heard was the front fuel tank strap that had become detached was rubbing on the driveshaft.
Fuel tank strap came loose from frame.
Fuel pump won’t shut off when car is turned off, I had to pull out fuel pump fuse because my battery kept getting drain, I’ve had difficulty starting and it’s only been a month since I bought this car,I’ve had to buy a bypass cable to temporarily fix the issue, this has happen to so many people, there should be a recall on the timp failing.
Heating & ventilation, I have lost heat in my truck, issues with fuel pump/filte where truck won’t start, and had the water pump had to be replace. I believe the majority of the things listed had recalls. What is included in the recalls and can a recall be replaced more than 1x?.

Fuel pump randomly shuts down while driving. Or no start condition. Loss of cruise control hitting bumps in the road. Service 4x4, no tc, no cc, trailer lights disconnect. Dealer has recalls on other same year vehicles w same motor w same tipm defective part. Not on truck. Warranty will not cover due to common problem. Since fuel relay is part of fuse box, will not cover part. Part alone is $2200. Dealer only. Can't get remanfactured, rebuilt, or part store item. Stuck with a truck that barely runs and almost $3000 to fix a non warranty issue. And very common.
Driving my vehicle throughout December of 2024 and the vehicle would die and power back up, vehicle would run intermittently and fail to continue operating while driving to and from work. Vehicle intermittently stalling during driving would cause "near miss" accidents on the road. Potentially endangering myself as the operator and other operators on the road due to a "no start" issue and unsafe operating condition in the electrical system of the vehicle. I thought it was a bad battery so I replaced it with a brand new battery from the auto parts store while I struggled to have this matter resolved before leaving for army active duty. I arranged to have the vehicle turned into a Chrysler, Dodge, ram dealer to have a diagnostic done on the vehicle. On June 6th according to their technicians report, it shows my tipm is bad. And needed to be replaced. The dealer failed to acknowledge this was a recall issue and would not cover the repair cost since the vehicle was out of warranty due to mileage and age. When their our hundreds of models being turned in for the same issue nationwide.
My 2011 Ram 1500 5. 7l has a faulty tipm. Fuel pump cuts out, causing stalling and intermittent operation, starting vehicle becomes problematic while commuting. Vehicle will sometimes not start at all and will remain stuck in an ignition loop. Continues to throw random check engine codes. I have had several near miss collisions while driving due to its unsafe condition I took the vehicle in to have a diagnostic done and a licensed Chrysler dealer deduced the vehicle has a faulty tipm, which correlates to the mass recall on the 2011 Ram 1500 models however my VIN does not show its associated with the many models of 2011 Ram 1500 when I cross referenced this.
My truck first started having trouble starting . When driving engine it would shut-off at anytime making it dangerous to steer and breakdown in traffic. There was no fault codes or warning lights on dash . After doing testing I found that the fuel pump relay was shut-off. Tipm is faulty and all Chrysler that have this style of tipm should be added to recall . I purchased a external fuel pump relay harness to repair tipm.
Bracket for fuel tank straps broke, causing gas tank to fall during operation without any warning,it could of caused a fire or explosion causing harm to driver and others or death. My local service center confirmed the problem and repaired the bracket and secured the gas tank back into place with new straps. This happened on our about [xxx] about [xxx]. Friday (rush hour)!! I was at walmart when I saw the problem returning to my truck. I went to the auto service center to buy some cargo straps to secure the gas tank back into place so it was safe to drive, the service manager was shocked! thank god that I saw the problem and secured the gas tank!!! I was a mechanic and service manager earlier in life. I called a local ram dealer ganley in bedford ohio and found out that this problem had a extended warranty on it that expired 4 or 5 days ago. [xxx]. I never received any information of this from the dealer I bought it from or the manufacturer, I could of been killed and others due to the neglect of the dealer and manufacturer, buyers of columbus, ohio and fiat, Chrysler ! why didn't NHTSA make sure I was warned of this? it was a life threatening problem! information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Front fuel tank strap rusted off of the frame.
Tipm failure. Vehicle fails to start ("crank, no start" or it acts likes it's out of gas) and/or fuel pump continues pumping after turning the vehicle off (draining battery). The vehicle stalls while driving which has created very unsafe conditions. There has been recalls on other Dodge vehicles with same problem. This needs to be a uniform recall on all affected vehicles.
Looking under my truck, I found that the front gas tank strap had fallen down from the vehicle frame mount. During further inspection of the vehicle it was that the gas tank strap mounting point has rusted through and that the strap has pulled thru the rusted point. The front of the gas tank has fallen down and pushed the gas tank strap into the drive shaft. Th only thing supporting the gas tank is the rear gas tank strap.
Shut off vehicle and fuel pump kept running. Tapped on totally integrated power managment module and stuck relay corrected, so the fuel pump shut off. Found a safety recall (safety recall r09/NHTSA 15v-115) for stuck relay in tipm on same year Dodge durango and Jeep grand cherokee. A quick search of many automotive enthusiast forums indicates this issue is common in my particular year, make, and model vehicle as well. I believe this recall should be expanded to include all Dodge products using similar timp/fuel relay configurations. It is very likely this relay could have been stuck off, while driving causing an unexpected engine shutdown. In my case I was lucky it was stuck on.
Failure to start. Engine cranks but will not start. Remote start fails. Door locks sometimes do not work, radio failures, engine stalls unexpectedly, tpm failure, serv 4wd warning light is displayed sporadically. This was a recall on 2011 and 2012 Chrysler vehicles except the ram. The ram also has the same issues as the other recalled vehicles. Why was the ram excluded from the recall?.
I tried to get the service done iam a one vehicle owner the dealership told me I had to pay out of pocket for the rental car with no set day of service the dealership didn’t care whether I got the recall done cause of the year of the vehicle they provided no transportation solution.

When filling gas at the pump, it shuts off constently. During this process, I am spilling gas on the ground while trying to deal with getting my tank filled. I had the gas fill line replacement done a few years ago and solved this very same problem, but the problem has returned. I have read in Dodge forums of this happening to other owners and sounds like there may be an oem solution to replace the gas fill line vent tube. I have checked with my dealer and oem website, but there has not been anything done about this from the oem.

The shifter began changing gears on its own. Before the recall came out my mechanic checked and there was no recall for this until 2018. I was never notified of the recall. Then on rear axle pinion nut. The nuts were installed without the proper amount of adhesive. Consequently, the nuts can loosen, and cause the rear axle to lock up, causing a loss of vehicle control. I was never notified of and the rear end came down while on the freeway. The fuel tank began leaking I repaired this before the recall came out. I submitted a reimbursement request they denied me stating my car was over 7 years old.
This will be the 4th time since late 2020 that this vehicle will stall either at a stop or at low speed. Egr valve has been replaced 3 times. You lose power steering and harder to brake but for the grace of god my wife has not had an accident. If you search online there are hundreds of similar complaints.
Gas tank straps causing fuel tank to drop from under truck. The Chrysler recall 18v160000 or u04 covers this problem but they tell me my VIN is not included in the recall. I live on the outer banks of nc and we at times have salt water standing on the side of the roads. And this is the same problem in this recall. I am deputy chief of the local fire department and we have 4 of the trucks and all have the same problem also. My truck has 150,000 miles on it and is well taken care of. This truck has a nc dot inspection every year.
I recently figured out a problem with my truck that is an extreme danger. When you fill up the fuel tank at any gas station, it seems that the fuel enters the vapor canister and makes the engine stall for about a mile before it starts running properly. After several close encounters after filling the tank, I looked upon other threads of Dodge ram owners and found this to be a common problem that was never addressed by Chrysler and never acted upon by nhta. Please look into this and advise a course of action to have Chrysler repair this problem. . It is a matter of time before either I or another with the same problem are seriously injured or killed due to this defect. Many thanks in advance!!.
Fuel tank leaking from the top of the tanks on my 2006 Dodge ram quad cab slt 5. 7 liter truck. Been leaking a few years after buying my 2006 truck in 2006 brand new. Only way to get one is buying a new fuel tank which is to expensive to buy and unable to repair it is where this tank should have a recall.

I purchased my 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 truck around may 2022 at a used car lot. It had low mileage so I thought I did great. Immediately after I brought it home, it began to die. I figured it had a really old battery so I purchased a new one. This one would last around 3 days instead of the one day before dying. I would drive it and jump it over and over. I tried to contact the dealer over and over but they would not respond to my calls. I wrote a terrible review about them in yelp and they contacted me immediately, but when I attempted to schedule a time to drop the truck back off, they stopped responding again. About 9 months later the truck stopped turning over all together. We found that the fuel pump was the issue. It sat for a year until I had it towed to the mechanic, who fixed the fuel pump, but found that the car would only run for a few seconds. He continued to diagnose it, and after weeks, he tells me that there is something terribly faulty with the electrical system, but he is stumped as to what it is. He says he does not see where anyone has tampered with the system at all, but there is something mysterious about the electrical component. I have put so much money into this truck including having to pay insurance and a high monthly payment for a dead truck. Please help me. I can provide documents after I meet with mechanic who still has truck.

I want to make a complaint because the engine in my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 magnum stalling very often, engine stalling on the traffic freeway couple of times that I have to restart the vehicle quick, good thing cars going slow. The most scary time was when I was making a right turn on this busy avenue and the engine stalled and almost got hit by other's cars the engine stalling very often that already know when it dies I put it on p and restart it as quick as I can before I get hit by other car. The next issue. It makes a grinding sound underneath when taking off at very low speed. I not sure if it is the differential or a wheel but it something there I took it to the mechanic he fix something that was woren it connects to the differential but still makes the noyse. Too many problems with this truck.
Shavent had funds to take to a shop but was told that the wrong fuel lines are on the truck.

When driving the truck the vehicle randomly shuts down and I have to pull over or put it in neutral to restart it I believe there might be a problem with the tipm that Dodge has had a ongoing problem for years and ignored the issue.

With the cold weather, it's not cranking. I had a new battery and starter installed and it still doesn't crank unless it's in neutral and I press the fuel peddle. If it sets for too long in cold, I have to repeat the process and no longer am able to use remote start and sometimes have to be jumped off.
Exhausted manifold on driver side making loud noise, totally defective component.
