40 Suspension problem of the 2005 Dodge Ram 1500

Failure Date: 09/01/2017

09/01/2017 traveling east bound on hwy 12 in san joaquin county at 11:30 pm while driving at 55 mph in between 2 jersey walls I turned left and hit the brakes hard to avoid a broken down vehicle. (note broken down vehicle had no flashers, flairs or any other warning) while applying the brakes the pedal went to the floor. I started bouncing back and forth off the walls. Air bags deployed, I was airborne at one point & actually thought I was going to die and when I came to a stop I was facing the wrong direction on the hwy. . I started my vehicle to move over to the side of the road and it wouldn't move. I proceeded to walk around the vehicle and noticed the right rear wheel was missing. I believe when my brake pedal went to the floor that's when I lost the wheel. Chp called tow truck and said solo non injury accident no report needed I didn't realize and now it's been brought to my attention that the axle shaft broke on a weld and looks like there were air bubbles in the steel. I don't know if you have had any other issues with axle shafts, but I would like to file a claim. I believe the wreck was much worse due to the axle shaft breaking. Truck is totaled with a twisted frame.

43 Suspension problem of the 2008 Dodge Ram 1500

Failure Date: 06/05/2017

While driving on the parkway I suddenly lost control of the steering. Thankfully I was able to safely maneuver the truck to the side of the road, with the help of a good samaritan and my evasive maneuver course required by my job, before anything tragic happened. I had the truck towed to the dealer where they confirmed my suspicion of a broken tie rod, specifically the left tie rod which has been recalled on every 2008 ram except my 1500. I find this very suspect that all the other rams have been recalled and fixed except my model, yet I had to pay for the repair. I am grateful that I did not get hurt, or cause an accident and injure anyone else, however this issue needs to be looked in further by the government. All of these trucks are unsafe to drive until they are fixed. According to my normal mechanic, this can happen at anytime due to the defective tie rod. He has replaced many 1500 tie rods at the expense of the owners, this should not be. Please order ram to issue a recall on all the 2008 ram trucks to keep the public safe. Thank you.

This violently shaking and bouncing of the front end can be reproduced at any imperfection in the highway at 65+ mph. The entire front end of the truck bounces and shakes violently. Three sets of rotors and brakes in two years, 4wd auto light flashing and works intermittently(just started plus electrical noise in dash and heat stops blowing. Sounds like it's going to start on fire. I have to get to work so I have to drive it. (I have five kids a crabby wife and a granddaughter to feed), tie rod on drivers side went bad. So I had everything replaced. I've sunk allot of $$ into it and can't afford another penny. I'm concerned of all the complaints saying the computer goes bad causing the actuator to go bad as well. I hope it lasts long enough. Perhaps you should just start a go fund me page to Chrysler owners lol. It's a shame because it's a beautiful truck.

70 Suspension problem of the 2006 Dodge Ram 1500

I was going down a state highway and hit a pothole, when the truck began shaking uncontrollably, I had to slam the brake on to slow down fast because it was shaking so bad. Apparently after further investigation this has happened to the vast population that own older model Dodges, it even has a name "the death wobble". It had happened to my husband before this, and it happened again to me a few days later.
