Air Bag On-off Switch Problems of Dodge Ram 2500

"takata recall" we received the notice in may 2016, took the truck to arrigo Dodge; they would have to call us when they got the parts in. In November we contacted them, regarding a different recall (tie rod) once again had to wait but they did the driver side air bag. March 2017 they did the air bag. . . . . 2 days later the air bag light is on, horn and cruise control does not work and they refuse to repair it; stating that it is the multi-function switch. So we currently have no drivers side airbag. In our attempts to have them fix it they refused and were nasty about it. We attempted to reach a local Dodge representative and no one knows who that may be.

I was in a single car accident on November 14, 2005 in a 2005 Dodge ram pickup truck . I hit a deer and then hit a tree going 45-50 mph. My air bag did not deploy and the fuel switch did not turn off. I do not understand why the airbag did not deploy as it should have.

Passenger's airbag was off and on, switch can be turned on with a coin or a small toy by a child. Also, air bag light came on indicating that airbag was on. Dealer could not tell consumer if airbag was actually on when this happened. Dodge said that was how it worked in all their vehicles, but refused to test switch. The air bag switch seems to be defective and could cause injury or even death to children riding in the vehicle.
