(1) front brakes grab on one side, vehicle swerves to one side and jerks to stop
(2) brake hose into calipers "callapsed". Break pads wear prematurely, rotors overheat. Loss of braking on affected side. (3) brake hose, calipers, pads, and rotors replaced. Insident occurred on left side after 40,000 miles of driving. Replaced hose on left side; both calipers, pads, and rotors on bohth sides. At 80,000 miles, right side hose collapsed. Requires hose on right side; caliper, pads, and rotor replacements on both sides. Hose assy on back order: one dealer has 18 on order, no projected date in sight. So many of this part on order and recurrence on one vehicle raises question. Soon vehicle will be undrivable, and dangerous. Incident date below is date of right side diagnosis.

Vehicle lost braking while applying the brakes at 25 mph. Consumer was able to stop the vehicle without any incidents. Vehicle was towed to a repair shop, and mechanic determined that the problem was an erupted metal brake line due to corrosion. Dealer and the manufacturer were not notified. Broken brake line was replaced. The rest of brake lines had to be replaced because of severe corrosion and danger of bursting.
While turning right or left consumer heard a loud knocking noise coming from the front. Consumer noticed that the front tires were rubbing against the brake lines. This caused the brake lines to wear out prematurely. Vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection.

While driving at aproximately 20 mph brakes failed, causing the consumer's vehicle to run a red light. After towing, it was discovered that driver's side brake hose was defective.
While operating my 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 ext cab 4x4 diesel, I suddenly lost the normal braking, on the vehicle I swerved to the right to avoid hitting another vehicle, just barely missing another in slowing/stopping(only had front brakes). The rear steel brake line had rusted through, located inside rear frame rail drivers side, next to fuel tank, where the bracket holds the line next to the frame. This vehicle is only 8 years old, and extremely well maintained(maintenance records available) I also noticed that the other coated (zink) lines are also rusting. The line was replaced. Should this be happening????????? system has silicone brake fluid. *** I have the rusted brake line if someone needs to inspect it. *** if someone needs to see it.
While driving, the consumer applied the brake pedal and it went down to the floor. Consumer somehow stopped the vehicle without incident. Consumer determined the rear brake line was rubbing the cab floor which caused the brake line to wear and leak brake fluid.
Steel brake lines on 1999 Dodge ram pickup corroding and bursting where line goes over top of fuel tank, brake fluid immediatly dumps and as a result immediate loss of brakes. Very dangerous.
While driving at 30 mph applied the brakes and pedal went to the floor, resulting in extended stopping distance. Vehicle was towed to an independent shop, technician found that brake lines were rusted and leaked fuel.
Main brake line has rusted and ruptured, other line is deteriorated. The line ruptured at home not on the road. This could have been a dangerous situation.
Consumer states that two front brake lines are rubbing. Consumer is concerned that while making a sharp turn the line may puncture, and cause loss of brakes.
