Brake Disc Caliper Problems of Dodge Ram 3500

Driver side entry assist hand hold breaks and allows driver to fall backwards when trying to use to enter vehicle. Brake line failure from fluid holder to abs distribution block rust out and releases brake fluid and pedal goes to floor and will not stop vehicle. Brake hoses deteriorates and does not allow caliper to release and causes overheat problems with poor steering when brake is applied.

The contact owns a 2002 Dodge Ram 3500. The vehicle was hitched to a 2015 pj gooseneck trailer. While driving approximately 35 mph in rainy weather conditions, the brake pedal was engaged and the attached vehicle failed to slow down. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the rear passenger hydraulic line fractured from the brake caliper. The contact replaced the hydraulic line himself. Nine days later, the vehicle was repaired and the front driver hydraulic line separated from the brake caliper. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. At 1000 miles a 2005, ram started to squeak. After taking it to a dealer it was reported as a sticker in the caliper bracket.

While braking consumer experienced extended stopping distance. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The dealer informed the consumer that all the brakes were worn. He determined that the front brakes were alright, but the right rear brake caliper was stuck and the left rear brake shoes was worn.
