1 Engine Oil Leaking problem of the 2005 Dodge Sprinter

Failure Date: 07/20/2019

Tl- the contact owned a 2003 Dodge Sprinter. The contact was driving approximately 63 mph when he noticed the engine was hesitating as well as oscillating with the oil warning light illuminating. The contact stated he noticed black coming from rear of the vehicle. He was able to pull to the side of the road, turning off the engine of the vehicle. When he exited he went to the front of the vehicle and he noticed fluids leaking from the engine compartment and than they noticed a fire on the right front passenger side of the vehicle. All occupants exited the vehicle safely no injuries were sustained. The vehicle was engulfed in fire and the fire dept was notified and extinguished the fire. A fire department report was filed as well as police department report. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot and deem a total loss. The vehicle was not inspected by an independent mechanic or a dealer to deem the determine the failure of the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was not available the approximate failure mileage ep.
