I brought this vehicle into the dealership for safety recall 15s39. There were no problems with the vehicle prior to taking it in. When I received the vehicle back from the dealer they had admitted to not completing all the steps in the safety recall. Now that I have the vehicle the dealer returned it to me with the following issues: all of the interior and exterior lighting including the headlights do not work and the air bag light is illuminated. A supervisor at Ford customer service said they refuse to do anything about the new problems they caused. She stated that "well, it's a pretty old car. " I don't think the age of the car should give Ford a pass to not fix a safety recall. The fix for their safety recall only created safety problems with this car - namely the air bags may not work.
When driving at night and early mornings my head lights and tail lights will randomly go out when my light switch is set to automatic. I can turn it on manually and then I have head lights and brakes but no running tail lights. Which is a major problem and safety hazard.
Taillight failure and corner light failure likely caused by faulty wiring as mentioned in 2015 lcm recall.

Safety recall for the lcm was repaired by lameroux Ford in brookfield but the bypass was not preformed and the lcm is still acting up. Called and they want to charge me to look at the work they failed to do properly. Brought it to another mechanic who verified the lcm was not bypassed.

Our vehicle, a 2005 Crown Victoria used to transport blind and elderly. Vehicle was recalled under campaign #15s39 to repair a potentially defective lighting control module. Lights were working perfectly at time of recall. Ford did not repair or replace module, but they instead bypassed a function of the module by hacking/splicing into the original wiring harness and adding an external relay. Truly a band-aid. Now, less then a year later. Lights have failed completely. Ford technicians blame faulty lighting control module. Ford refuses to replace module, stating that the warranty part is working correctly, only the original (subject of the recall) part has failed. Again, Ford did not actually repair the car the first time, they only bypassed the lighting module. There is another recall on this vehicle involving the intermediate shaft for the steering column. I asked if they plan to 'fix' it by splinting with two popsicle sticks and rubber bands, then refuse to honor the repair when the original shaft fails. The customer service representative failed to respond.
Ford dealership wont fix saftey issues recalls.
Driving at night and the lights will cut off I have pull the bright light lever and hold it on so that the lights would stay on other wise I have no lights at all. If I start the car and the light switch is on auto only the parking lights will come on. Never had this problem before it just started about a month ago and some days the lights will come on and some days they will not.

I was driving home late one night and the lighting module went out leaving us out in the country with no lights. We were just driving down a winding country road. No street lights, no way to see. We managed to get home hours later. On 9/22/15 I had the car looked at by my mechanic and he replace the lighting module fixing the problem. Mechanic said there was a 15 year warranty on this unit and Ford new of this problem. He said I should get reimbursed for the part. On contacting Ford they will not honor the cost of the unit even though it has not been 15 years because I did not bring it to Ford. They also claimed they have sent 2 notices to my address which is not true. I have lived in the same place from before purchasing the car brand new. 2 issues to address is #1, the claimed 15 year warranty not honored they reported to the government and #2, the claim of sending out letters that they do not send. Please help resolve this lighting issue and monitor Fords claim to send out letters.
