Car Stall Problems of Ford E-150

The contact owns a 2008 Ford econoline van e150. The contact stated that while driving approximately 25 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact tried to restart the vehicle. The check engine and electronic throttle warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was able to be restarted but when the failure would recur when the engine rpms increased over 2,000. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 66,325.

Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Ford f-150. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 20 mph, the vehicle stalled, and lost all steering and braking capabilities. The engine warning light illuminated. The contact mentioned that the hand brakes was engaged in order to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was not able to start while the gear was in park position until it was shifted into neutral. The failure recurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where it was diagnosed that the throttle body and the transmission range sensor had to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. Driving at 35mph, vehicle started making a backfiring sound and losing power. Pulled vehicle into a parking lot and had towed to Ford dealer. Ford service adviser said #3 spark plug blew out of engine. He had service technician pull other plugs and checked gap on plugs to find all plugs were original factory installed.

Vehicle stalls out like it is starving for fuel when you need to accelerate. It has stalled out when passing other vehicles and when entering heavy traffic on interstates. As of July 31, 2014, the truck has been back to the dealership at least 4 times for this problem. However, I continue to have the problem.

When driving at any speed vehicle stalled/lost power. Consumer drifted to the side of the road, and had the vehicle towed to the dealer. Vehicle was at dealer on seven separate occasions, but mechanic was not able to duplicate or resolve the problem.

Vehicle is stalling when backing up and coming to a stop. This became progressivly worse. Dealer cannot remedy problem. Consumer also stated that the vehicle stalled whille pulling out into the incoming traffic. Vehicle was hooked up to a monitoring device which had detected a faulty e dpfe sensor (problem still occurs, even three weeks later). Consumer was instructed to take vehicle back the following week (Aug 19th).

Noisy abs; did we and do we have working abs? no help from Ford. Don davis Ford invoice 202541 12/15/97, middlekauff inv. 404267 12/18/97 & 436463 2/2/99, five star inv. C05234 6/2/98 pd for brake fluid flushing with brake job (5star ruined caliper too), karl klement inv. 36021 8/19/98. My husband & I flushed the brakes - looked like dirty motor oil. 3 second whee became a chirp, pd. Utter Ford inv. C02461 5/19/99 to bleed abs control unit - whee is gone but does our abs work? it's never engaged and don't know if it will. We are also now working with an independent garage to solve our summer stalling out problem.

Vehicle stalls while driving on incline. Problem has been brought to dealer's attention. Owner notes that dealers hooked vehicle to flight recorder on numerous occasions, and also replace the iac motor but problem remains. Owner is very concerned for safety.
