There is a leak/crack in the fuel neck. Every time I refuel the vehicle, it will not start right away. After a minute it will start. The dealer recommended I spend $600 to replace it. Also, driver window is scraping when it goes up and outside decorative panel paint is fading.

10/13/2018 - at 28,500 miles. Noticed just yesterday when opening panoramic sunroof curtain in driveway, what looked like a large puddle of water on sunroof while parked. Was not there the day before. Checked it and sure enough, it is a large crack across the sunroof. Extremely disappointed to find. Will be contacting local autonation dealership to discuss repair. It had better be under warranty. I've only owned the vehicle for six months. This is unacceptable.

Vehicle was parked on 09/29/18 with no cracks. Upon opening the cover to the vista sunroof on 0. 9/30/18, both front and back panels had developed long wave like cracks between the layers of glass. There is no indication of impact to the panels. A pen track test was performed with no findings of any impact points. This appears to be a defect in the material or manufacturing process as these cracks appear to be stress related and not impact related.

Spontaneous 30 inch crack to the front panel of the panoramic sunroof. Concern for defective glass.
The front sunroof on my Ford Edge 2016 cracked for no reason. Does not appear to have been hit by any object. Has wavy crack which starts on front driver side corner and runs backward. I opened the inside cover while parked on a city street and noticed the crack.
My husband was driving when he opened the sun visor. I looked and thought there was ice on the sunroof because of the strange swirl pattern. It is not cold enough to have ice like that where I live. My husband says look its cracked. The panoramic sunroof cracked in a swirled pattern. I took the car to a professional auto glass place and the repair guy said he did not see any spots where there would be impact. So I thought maybe it was a glass defect. I took to the dealer and the service manager gets up and starts poking the glass with a pen and says there are 2 places of impact so it must have had a rock hit it and skip along and crack it twice.
As we slowly backed out of our garage, we looked up and saw a long crack in the sunroof. We remembered reading in consumer reports (Dec. 2017) that larger sunroofs have shattered and the article specifically mentioned Ford Edge. We immediately closed the shield in case it shattered and drove to the Ford dealer.
My sunroof cracked all on its own. I see there are several other people that have had this happened when I researched this online. My vehicle was in park and I heard it crack then looked up and saw the crack in my sunroof.
The sunroof of my car cracked. I keep my car in a garage and do not drive it to work as I am retired. Nothing fell on my car or hit my car. One day, I opened the cover on the sun roof while the car was stationary, and it was cracked. I have since read that the Ford Edge has a higher than usual number of complaints of cracked sunroofs.
My sunroof has cracked 4 times. There multiple wavy cracks all over the windows. It has been replaced 3 times and after the third roof, it was cracked again within a month. My dealer will not fully cover this roof. I am told that it is from rock chips but honestly believe there is a defect in the glass or possibly the frame to cause the cracks. Once I get a new glass, it is cracked again within a month. I am worried about the safety of the glass. My rear window shattered as well while parked and from closing the driver door. I believe my sun roof has cracked on stationary and driving conditions.
Sunroof has cracked for no apparent reason. Nothing has come in contact nor has anything hit it directly. Not sure of when the cracks occured.
Purchased this 2017 Ford Edge titanium awd as a demo from town and country Ford in louisville kentucky. Vehicle had 5800 miles. The vehicle stays garaged at my home address. I was pulling the vehicle out of the garage into the driveway and there was nothing at all near the vehicle. I looked into the rear view mirror and noticed what looked like a puddle of water on the rear part of the sunroof. I got out of the Edge to find that there was a large crack through the rear stationary part of the sunroof.
I recently had a backseat passenger who noticed the panoramic sunroof was cracked. I do not know when the crack happened.
After owning my car for only 16 months, the panoramic sunroof on my 2015 Ford Edge titanium cracked completely down the length as well as across the width of the entire roof. Neither the car nor roof had not been struck by anything - it was very obviously a stress fractures. It was a warm sunny spring day, and the car had been just sitting in front of my house. When I drew back the sunroof shade, I saw the roof completely cracked side to side and front to back. I very carefully drove to my Ford dealership. The service department insisted that a rock or something hit it and refused to do anything to help replace it. I had to have a body shop replace the sunroof and my insurance company covered remaining $800 of the $1300 cost after I paid the $500 deductible. My auto insurance has now gone up several hundred dollars because they considered it an "accident" which it was not! this is obviously a manufacturing defect which very worries me that the replacement roof will be also likely to break. There was definitely no impact but Ford refused to acknowledge any responsibility - this is criminal.
We have a 2016 Edge and shortly after driving we opened the vista roof noticed a a long crack that ran completely from one side of the movable window to the other. The dealership said it was a stone chip but having looked at blue oval. Com I see this problem has been addressed by Ford and also ignored. So we now have to pay for the window replacement even though it appears it is a production problem. I now have to pay the price for their lack of engineering and quality control.
I have a loud popping noise when I turn to the left. When I pull into a parking stall and when I back out and u turns. Its been to two differant shops. One shop replaced the strut, strut tower barring ,lower a arm, axel, strut mount, and the power steering. The noise is still there. The next shop replaces the rack and pinion and its still there. Ithy said it is a break in the body weld some were but thy dont know were. I called Ford motor company and spok with a gentelman named mark but he was of no help to me. I tool the vehicle to a autobody shop but thy could not figuer it out either. If there is a break in the weld its is a unsafe car to drive. Mark from Ford moter company will not return my phone calls to try and help me resolve the issue. Its been two months I have been dealing with this and I cant get no help the one time I spok with mark from Ford he was saying if the car cant be fixed he would take the steps to get me out of the car and into something else but like I said I have yet to seep with him. Im to the piont that if we cant get this resolved im going to get a lawer . In the whole prosses im paying for a vehicle I dont want ro put my kids in let alone drive it not knowing if something will happen so pleas help me in any way possable.

The vehicle was parked, I opened the shade to the vista roof to find the large panel cracked in several locations for no apparent reason. There was no point of impact, the vehicle had not been in a hail storm, etc. We were concerned it would shatter, we were not at home at the time this was discovered, we drove directly to the Ford dealership, they stated it would be covered under the standard warranty but it would need to be ordered. We covered the glass with carpet mastic to prevent shattering until a repair could be done.
I own a 2008 Edge with approx. 150,000 miles on it. The car has stalled on me 3 times in the last 3-4 months. The first time the car stalled I was on the freeway during rush hour. Thankfully I was able to restart the care and move it off to the side of the freeway before it stalled again. After having it towed, I was told that the water pump had cracked. The water pump involved a lot of labor and cost me about $1100-$1200 with the tow. About a week later, I was again driving on the freeway and the car stalled. Again, I was able to make my way off the freeway before the car died completely. Once again, I had to have the care towed. This time, I was told that the engine appeared to have coolant in the oil and created a murky goo. My engine needed to be replaced. Another $2200. The last incident was Friday, may 20th. I had no indication there was a problem of any kind. I literally drove less than half a mile when the care overheated and stalled. I called and emailed Ford to see if I could get any assistance, but have either have had no response or an email indicating that if the car is not under warranty or if no recalls have been issued, I would be responsible for any work that needs to be done. I contacted the dealership where I purchased the car, but have not received a response. I am out of money and options. I have been without a car for almost two weeks and feel incredibly frustrated by this situation. I find it absurd that a vehicle would get a blown engine with no warning and that a recall has not been issued. I am facing another $1200 or so in vehicle repairs.

Vehicle was enroute on northbound I-95 in lorton on a Saturday when we heard a loud bang. I pulled over and looked around and under the back of the car. Seeing nothing I got back underway. After a few minutes I starting hearing wind noises. After another few minutes the headliner starting to sag. Turns out the sunroof was shattered in the front and back. The center was still intact but cracking more and more. Taking it into service on Monday.
While driving, my car made an alert that the left front (driver's) door was ajar although it did not seem to be. I stopped at the next light and reclosed the door yet the alert did not go away until the door was closed aggressively a couple of times. Since that initial incident, this has occurred several times and has gotten to the point that the alert remains on at all times. After tracking down the problem myself I discovered that the problem is primarily due to a design flaw in the door ajar sensor. After consulting with a local Ford dealership and an internet search, it's been discovered this is a persistent problem with the Ford Edge and many other Ford model vehicles which use this same part and always the driver's door (potentially because it's the most used). This is a safety issue and a recall needs to be issued due to the following: 1) the dome light stays on and creates a night driving hazard; 2) the dome light stays on and creates a safety hazard when sitting in a public area at night; 3) the false door ajar signal prevents the driver from recognizing a true door ajar situation; 4) the doors will not lock either while driving or parked.
The rear glass vista roof panel cracked along the entirety of the glass roof. Cracks all along every Edge of the glass that don't intersect with each other and Ford claims that one area had to be the point of impact. There is no way possible for glass to crack on the opposite end and doesn't intersect with the alleged point of impact for it to have been the cause. I believe the glass is structurally defective and Ford will not cover it under the bumper to bumper warranty we purchased for the vehicle. Ford gives the service manager the authority to deny the warranty, yet had to give the same service manager guidance on how to test the glass. Ford stated I needed to file an insurance claim instead.
Back half of the vista roof exploded in all four corners. There are some cracks in the middle of the glass, but the corners are blown out; especially towards the rear. The roof inside the car looks like it was suctioned up. I was driving and heard a very loud pop. When I stopped to and checked the roof I found the broken glass. The car is like new and there had been no prior incidents or damage to it. I take very good care of the car. There was no impact when this happened; I was just driving down the road on a hot summer day. Ford claims they are not responsible. There is no explanation as to how this could happen other than a defect in the glass or installation of it. I have read about several other Ford Edge owners that this has happened to.
Vehicle failed annual safety inspection at approximately 40k miles. Dealer explained that front tie rod ends had failed and needed replacement. Made an appointment for service. Upon returning for service on the scheduled date at approximately 45k miles, dealer discovered leak in front rack and pinion assembly and explained entire front rack and pinion assembly needs replacement. As of this report, the vehicle is still with the local dealership's service department. The part to be replaced is on back-order. After quick internet search, discovered instances of same problem in steering & suspension with other 2011 Ford Edge and 2011 Lincoln mdx awd vehicles. This is a safety issue in addition to being extremely costly in a relatively new vehicle for myself and other vehicle owners. This should be investigated. Thanks for your time.
