The contact owns a 2016 Ford Edge. The contact stated that after an oil change, the check engine warning light illuminated while driving 50 mph. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where a diagnostic test showed that the evaporative emissions system was defective and needed to be replaced. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was provided an estimate for a diagnostic test. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired.
