The coolant is leaking into the engine area. Causing repeated coil failures and misfire and I assume damage to engine. I believe engine block needs to repaired or replaced. Also, during both dry and especially slippery/wet conditions. . . My vehicle is veering to both sides on its own while driving . My hands are on wheel going straight and it just drifts, slips and slides. Afraid I'm going to crash. No warning lights. Might be esc and or abs systems. It seems these are known issues for this year make and model but these recalls and warnings for some reason are not attached to my VIN. I need them attached to my VIN so that I can take to Ford dealership for repair before these system failures kill me.

Gear change struggles and shudders during 2nd to 4th gear (18-39 mph) when pressing the gas pedal. Driving in sport mode does help but not for long. This problem disappears when cruise control is activated. Went to workshop and had to replace the torque converter. Several owners report similar problems. I bought this car with a mileage of 103,000 miles and it seems to already have some jerking during gear changes but not as bad. It got worse around 120,000 miles. The safety was not of a concern, but the driving dynamics was concerning since the whole vehicle was shaking during gear changes. I checked the NHTSA website and it this vehicle did not have any recalls so far. Another slightly minor but inconvenient issue is the tpms sensor malfunction. Most of the time the sensors seem to be working perfectly but every time I drive above 50 mph for at least half an hour the dashboard shows tpms sensor malfunctioning. After I turned off the engine for at least 15 to 30 minutes and I turn on the engine again. The problem seems to disappear temporarily.

The lug nut caps will not come off and no tire store in our area can get them off without charging an arm and a leg. What if we were on the road with a flat tire? my husband is [xxx] and I'm [xxx] . There is no way we'd be able to get the wheel off to change it. What if we had no cell service and a driver who is a criminal stops to "help". Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Scheduled tire rotation with Ford. Unable to complete because of lug nuts swelling which Ford is aware of. My lug wrench does not fit. I now have to spend $200. 00 to replace all lug nuts on a 2019 Ford Edge. This should be a recall issue and at least a safety issue. To be stranded on the road only to find out the lug wrench doesn't fit anymore ??.

The power take off assembly (ptu) failed. I had it replaced a a Ford dealership with a genuine Ford ptu. After driving less than 125 miles the ptu failed again and my right front half shaft disengaged without notice on the high when traveling at highway speeds. Upon return to the dealership they noted that the ptu failed and it was replaced at no cost. However, they charged me for the replacement of the right front axel. I contacted Ford customer service and contend that recall 14s10 should apply especially after the new ptu failed. They denied my claiming stating that the dealership claimed a torn cv boot was the cause of my axel disengaging. However there was no mention of a torn cv boot in the dealerships multipoint inspection of my vehicle when originally brought in. Ford customer service and the dealership denied my claim.

I took my 2019 Ford Edge titanium in for an oil change and tire rotation. Ford would not do a tire rotation because of the swollen lug nuts. What? 5000 miles earlier I brought the vehicle in, and nothing was said about swollen lug nuts at that time. I was told that I would have to purchase 20 new ones for 200. 00. I could purchase the Ford brand or an aftermarket brand. There is no guarantee that the lug nuts may not have to be purchased again because of this issue. If this is a true safety issue, this is on you, Ford! keep your customers safe and have a recall on lug nuts and not make me pay for your mistake!.
Swollen wheel nuts.
I took my vehicle in for oil change and tire rotation and was told that the tire rotation could not be done due to “swelled lug nuts”.
Today, during a routine tire replacement (4 tires) due to tire wear, I was told by big box service facility that the lug nuts on my vehicle all were swollen and they could not address as they had no parts. I consider this an unsafe condition that I have been put in. My next step is to take it to the dealer. I will keep you posted!.
I took my 2017 Ford Edge to a Ford dealer to get an oil change and tires rotating on he rear of the vehicle; however, they told me that the lug nuts on both rear wheels have the two piece lug nuts that Ford put on several of their vehicles that have swollen and delaminated rendering the vehicle’s lug wrench and their wrench useless. So needless to say, they were not able to fulfill the works service I pad for that included the oil change, fluid check and tire rotation. So in the event I get a flat tire, or when I decide to get new tires, I'm going to have to a Ford dealer and pay a premium for tires (I just had the front tires done 2 weeks agao and got goodyear ties for $161 each, whereas Ford quoted me almost $260 per for the same tire). And they said they'd also have the charge me to drill, use a cutting torch and something else to get the lug nut off without damaging the wheel stud; they didn't give me a cost estimate on that, but going to assume it's between $50-100. So instead of paying $320 for 2 reach tires like I did 2 weeks, I'd be looking at between $570 - $620 for 2 rear tires because Ford decided to use some cheap lug not that they know are defective, but continue to use them?? I thought the NHTSA was supposed to help consumers and not allow companies to continue taking advantage of consumers. However, I also submitted something to you about 6-9 months ago on this same vehicle. Ford has a 2. 0 ecoboost engine in many vehicles and thousands if not hundreds of thousands have had to replace engines because of Ford's design that causes the cylinder tor something to crack and then coolant leaks into the motor. The only option once this occurs is to sale to another unexpected buyer, or do want my wife and I had to do and pay Ford another $8500 to put a new motor in, which will probably fail again. So please do something; Ford should not be allowed to continue use defective parts with no recalls, as Ford has already gotten their thousands.
The contact owns a 2018 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while the vehicle was at the dealership for routine maintenance, he was informed that the lug nuts were swollen. The dealer replaced all the lug nuts. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
Ford dealership told me my 2019 Ford Edge has swollen lug nuts. It would cost me $197. 00 to have them replaced. Vehicle has almost 61,000 miles. Declined to have them replaced because the service department removed one lug nut and it looked very good.
Twice this weekend, when I parking on a steep driveway, I put the shift lever into the park position, I turned off the vehicle and began to exit the vehicle. When I released my foot pressure on the brake pedal, the Ford Edge began to roll backward. I had to reapply pressure to the brake pedal and then engage the emergency brake to stop the vehicle from rolling. . Read more...
The lug nuts are bulging and won't come off which as needed then the wheel can't as well. Just had new tires put on which the shop had to destroy one to get the wheel off. If a flat tire occurred I would not be able to take off a wheel and change it. I have heard this is a problem on the design for many Ford vehicles.
I went to have tires rotated and an alignment done to the 2016 Edge. The mechanic came in and told me we had a problem with the lug nuts have enlarged and they could not get them off and when they would get them off they would be damaged and not be able to put the back on the car. They had to force the tool on the lug nuts to get them off. Some of them the caps were loose when they got them off too. I had to spend 68. 00 to get new lugs so I could get out of the place. They showed me and they were severely out of shape and were not safe. I am a widow who takes car of father and if we would have had problems on the road I would not of been able to change the tire. Something needs to be done about this. I checked the Ford website and see manny people have complained over the same issue. So let me know what you plan to do about this dangerous issue!.
Wheels on the 2017 Ford Edge with 20 inch wheels keeps cracking where tire bead seat is.
I have a flat tire but could not remove the lug nuts with the wrench provided when I purchased the vehicle. There are complaints on line that these lug nuts become swollen with time. When the vehicle was new the wrench worked fine. Ford would not replace the lug nuts at no charge. My tire shop confirmed that this is a common problem with Ford lug nuts. Thank you.
My vehicle only has 74k miles and the Ford dealership told me I need to replace all lug nugs because they are swollen and will need to be broken off. This is a $200 cost at the dealership for replacement. If purchased at store it is $60 plus someone to change them out. No way at $74k miles this should happen. I've seen many other posts about the same this with this years model. Also since I have aluminum rims, the lugs are hard to locate anywhere. They must have the "mushroom" offset with long attachment.
Ford tells me the lug nuts on my car's tires have become loose, expanded. My car has only 31k miles. Yet, these faulty parts make it at risk of tires flying off while driving!! Ford wants to charge me to replace their faulty nuts. That's nuts!.
I'm 82 years old and I brought my Ford Edge to lucas Ford on columbus road in burlington, NJ 08016 for lube and a tire rotation. After an hour they said the Ford Edges wheel lugs were swollen and could not be removed under normal conditions. They wanted $300. 00 to replace nuts, and with the same ones from Ford. I thought this was a scham and did not have the car dealer replace them. I researched the problem and found it was true and that Ford could care less about it. I tried to remove one nut at home and spent two hours on it and could not remove it. Ford should replace all there defective parts now. As I said I'm 82 years old and if I have a tire blow out on the road, how do remove iot and install the spare? how about a recall on the wheel lug nuts!!!.
Lug nuts swelled and had to be replaced.
I own a 2015 Ford Edge 4 door sel with 76k miles which I purchased in 2017 as the second owner. The dealership sold me 5 new lug nuts due to swollen original lug nuts. One lug nut cap were damaged during routine removal to replace an 8 yr old failing tire pressure sensor. I was told the lugs were swollen and had to be replaced. This seemed obsurd. I researched this to find out that the obsurdity was that Ford motor company had been sued about this and it is a known defect of Ford vehicles. Quietly known. I am submitting this complaint because of the defective lug nuts that are a known issue, and could have been replaced at the dealership from the very first oil change or routine maintenance appointment. These defective parts routinely strand motorists or cause unnecessary excess costs to the owners when the actual fix is far less than $1 for each. When the entire vehicle uses only 20, this is negligence on the part of Ford motor company. As a consumer on a fixed income, who purchased the bumper to bumper warranty from Ford, the neglected $20 fix of my vehicle has cost me over $75 so far, and if the dealership (an extension of Ford motor company) has their way, they are happy to charge me that for my 3 remaining tires. A total consumer burden of $300 (per the dealership pricing) for a $20 fix by the manufacturer. All becuase the know problem causes a financial burden and not enough consumers have actually had physical or catestrophic accidents,. . . Yet. A recall is required. If not, there should be a required reimbursement to all consumers who are forced to replace the defective parts. The reimbursement should be that the dealerships seek reimbursement, and that the consumers receive the replacements free of charge.
I purchased my Ford from a used car lot and only 3 months later without any alerts my brake pedal goes to the floor. It makes a hissing sound like air being released. My brakes and fluid are fine? why are their recalls on my same year vehicle, but not mine. I understand replacing brake booster, master cylinder will not help. Now I am broke from purchasing my Ford, I can't afford to dump more money into a vehicle that can't be fixed. You need to recall the entire car! now my dash lights go crazy, even abs once? this car is a freaking lemon and someone is going to get hurt. Then Ford will responsible for their manufactory error?.

Went to get brakes replaced and found out the lug nuts were jammed on and could not be removed, took it to the deal to find out they were swollen on and no one would have been able to remove them but them! they stated they see it all the time if I had a flat no one would have gotten them off it would have had to towed! to me this is a safety hazard that could leave me stranded. They said this was comment I called Ford they would not acknowledge it.
When obtaining a tire rotation at the Ford dealership, I was told that I had swollen lug nuts and for safety reasons should be replaced. I never had a vehicle with this problem. To replace all the lug nuts, it was a cost to me of $259. 20. This is a manufacturer defect that should have been covered under my extended warranty but was not. I was told that the lug nuts could seize and not be able to be removed if I needed to change my tire. This in my opinion is a safety concern and should be addressed.
The lug nuts have swelled on all of the wheels of my Ford Edge. The lug nut wrench that Ford included with the vehicle is now unusable because it will not fit the lug nuts. This becomes a safety issue because my wife and I can no longer change a flat tire on her vehicle. We sometimes drive in areas with little or no lighting. It is also a financial issue because I will have to hire a tow truck company to replace the flat tire and then purchase new lug nuts to make the vehicle safe. I understand this is a wide spread problem with Ford vehicles. I can’t believe the government has not made Ford do a recall on these lug nuts. I guess once again big industry gets preferential treatment over the safety of the citizens.
The Edge was taken in for routine service at 24,920 miles. I was informed that brake inspection and tire rotation could not be performed unless I purchased new lug nuts at an additional cost of $201. This was due to "swollen" lug nuts which apparently is not uncommon and is still being ignored by Ford.
The component of the cart is the lode shaft assembly consisting of axe shaft, boots and gaskets, the risk was to no longer control the brake, since at any moment I lost control and I was very affected. Yes, by a mechanic. Nop the abs was turned on, check engine.

Dealer’s (san tan Ford, gilbert, az) service department indicates I need to replace all lug nuts . . All found swollen creating a safety hazard. Cost of replacement is $164. 98 plus taxes and labor charges.
I have had to replace three tire pressure sensors in the past six months. Mileage is about 130,000 and do not understand why the sensors are all failing about the same time. $80 to replace peach sensor.
Swollen 2-part lug nuts.
