Ford recall 14s21 was performed on this vehicle in 2015. I currently have a dtc b10a2. The code indicates that the restraint control module has failed. I contacted the local Ford dealer, cavalier Ford, and was told that the item was out of warranty. The issue is safety. The representative that I spoke with did not understand that the item that was the focus of the original recall has failed. Based on the original recall, the air bags and belt pretensioner could fail in the event of an accident. The replacement of the original item does not provide long term protection since it has failed again.

The vehicle has two indicator lamp warnings. One warning for a rear seatbelt monitor fault and one warning for the driver's seatbelt monitor fault. When these seatbelt monitor faults occur the airbags throughout the vehicle are no longer operational. The safety risk of not having operational airbags is extremely high and puts all passengers at risk of serious harm or death. The vehicle is currently at a local Ford dealership undergoing diagnostic testing.

I am experiencing problems with the driver's side window getting stuck when I attempt to roll it up or down. Following a couple of visits to the Ford dealership, the service team was unable to find any diagnostic trouble codes or issues. The window's performance is compromised in both directions. Additionally, I have observed the passenger side airbag warning light flashing couple of times. I bought the vehicle on November 5th, 2024, only 6 months with this vehicle and during my June 6th, 2025 oil change, the service team recommended replacing the wiper blades, which seems excessive considering the low rainfall in san diego, California.

My backup camera glitches and my apmi module has gone out, which was diagnosed by Ford. I’ve seen this is an issue with other Ford models as well, however there are no active recalls for my VIN. The airbag light is also on.
I was stopped in traffic on a local freeway at rush hour. The vehicle behind me was slowing to a stop. An SUV did not slow down and hit the vehicle behind me at approximately 60 mph. That vehicle was flipped when the SUV collided with it. The SUV collided with me, pushing my vehicle into a van in front of me and then sending my vehicle across 3 lanes of the highway. In the initial impact, my seat back was bent backwards and twisted from the initial impact. With the second impact, I was then thrown forward and my face hit the steering column and my right side and arm hit the center console. I was wearing my seatbelt. The cabin briefly filled with smoke which may have been from the engine failure. None of the airbag deployed.

On 2/9/24, I was driving on the left lane of freeway (696) in southfield, mi. All of a sudden curtain airbags (both sides) deployed for no reason. The force/impact of the airbags felt like something extremely heavy or big landed on top of the roof. My vehicle slowed down automatically and then went into crash mode and was unable to start/drive. I stepped outside to look at my vehicle and not a scratch or dent was on my vehicle. I was not in an accident or anything. Was alarming/unsafe because I was on the freeway during 1:30pm which is busy at that time so I could have been in a massive wreck and if I had my 4month old in the vehicle she would have been crushed/dead. On 2/12-2/16 my vehicle was inspected by silverrock and they denied the claim being "outside influence". At that time my vehicle was at clover's collison (still is) and the owner ran diagnostics. From 2/16-2/21 I have been reaching out to carvana/silverrock and trying to have them take care of this for me but they did nothing. I called my progressive insurance on 2/21 and they sent an inspector out as well and on 2/23 they did not find anything that could have caused the airbags to deploy. I called Ford customer service/recall department to ask regarding a recall on this vehicle and nothing has been reported with this model. I am currently having clovers collison (easpointe) repair the vehicle out of my pocket ($6,000) since insurance/warranty/carvana is doing nothing to help with this case. I need to be able to drive and carvana/silverrock have put me in a huge/massive bind to where I need this vehicle to go to/from work. Driving from saint clair shores, mi to novi, mi everyday. Check engine lights, or any warning signs on my dash before this happened*.
Since purchase airbags light stays on reported this several times! next engine oil has been leaking on hot parts of engine report to manufacturer and they are doing nothing this is my only vehicle! this could cause a fire! several vehicles same year and model same problem!.
A car cut me off and I rear ended them going under 20 miles per hour. And my air bags went off and they exploded and I recieved chemical burns.
My entire passenger side airbags deployed with no passenger present in car. The car has a sensor stating when someone is not there they should be off.
The contact owned a 2015 Ford Escape. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 55 mph, the front of the vehicle collided with two trees. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The contact sustained back, chest, and abdomen injuries and received medical attention. The vehcile was towed to a lot where it was deemed a total loss. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000.
My son and I hit a deer and his back passenger seat seatbelt didn’t lock and my air bag light came on but they never deployed.
I have been needing to add coolant to my car almost bi-weekly and just recently it lost power while getting on the freeway. The airbags have been problematic since I purchased the vehicle even after having the wire harness replaced twice at a Ford dealership. The light will not go off.

Broken spot welds in the left front door at the check arm attachment point in the door assembly. Car is unsafe to drive. Could result I in a door inadvertently opening while driving.
I was driving at 50mph and a car pulled out infront of me. I had no option but crashing into them. The impact was in the front end of my vehicle causing enough damage to total the vehicle and the airbags did not deploy. The insurance aduster did look at the vehicle.
I lost my ability to steer my vehicle. I attempted to step on the brakes and nothing happened. I hit a box truck in front of me going at least 30mph and only my shin airbag deployed.
