Since day one of ownership, it has a vibration in the steering when approaching 25mph then the vibration continues all the way to 75mph. Also at approx. 25mph an low humming sound starts. The humming sound gets loader as speed increases along with the road noise. The humming and vibration stop as soon as you take your foot off the accelerator. But resumes again as soon as the accelerator is pressed. This vibration feels as if a wheel is loose or coming off or the the engine and transmission are going to fail causing a serious problem. This by no means is normal. Both dealerships personnel that drove the vehical said its not normal.

My Ford gave off exhaust smell from time to time and occasionally the engine light may come on. But dealership did not find any problems recently, the engine light came on and I drove my card to the nearest Fords dealership but, needed to schedule an appointment. Advised could drive home if no unusual sounds. Engine light went off before appointment, so I canceled. 2-3 weeks later engine light, came back on with smell of fumes. I scheduled an appointment. The day of the appointment, I started the car and coolant light also came on at start with the smell of fumes. Feeling uneasy driving the car, I had 2014 Ford Escape towed to the dealership that I frequent and describe engine light and coolant light came on during start, with a loud humming noise. Since I had already scheduled to get the works synthetic oil change and vehicle maintenance on the same day, I also requested diagnostic testing. The car was kept overnight. There is only 47746 miles on the vehicle and too many issues. I was advised the car had misfired codes and overheat codes. Pressured tested coolant pulled the spark plug, found coolant in a cylinder. The car needs a head gasket. Car smoked during cold start and exhaust smells like coolant. My car was previously recalled for a door hatch and overheating. . I have taken the car to the dealership several times before for engine light, but, vehicle check-up always seems to resolve the issue. On one occasion, requested oil change and vehicle inspection, when almost a quarter of a mile from home all of the dashboard lights came on. Had the car towed back to the dealership, the issue seemed to be resolved.

Our 2014 Ford Escape was recently under repair for the Jan 2018 coolant recall. It was completed on Mar 15, 2019. On Mar 16, 2019. Our vehicle had driven on the freeway for 3 hrs for a distance of 200 miles and upon exiting the freeway and stopping at a stoplight. My vehicle stopped moving and managed to get it onto a gas station parking lot. . I had it towed the nearest car dealership and they had diagnosed it and came back with the transmission and coolant being the issue. They are currently wanting to charge us a large amount of money to fox the repairs and transmission. I noticed that there is a recall for the transmission as of sept 2018. No recall message has been sent out yet. However. I believe my vehicle is affected as it would make an unusual sound from time to time when shifting from park, reverse, or drive as if it got stuck. I would love to have someone from the Ford assist me with this because it doesnt make sense for me to deal with this if this has been a discovered issue. Please assist me in this matter. Thank you.
Car milage 11500 fuel pump making weird noise and then causing car to stall seems to happen at idle when coming to a slower stop. I was told it was the fuel pump 5 months ago when it happened the first time. Also was told from the dealer that there is some issues with the fuel module that causes the pump to fail. I am taking this in tomorrow to rectify. Must be the fuel module after all.

Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Ford Escape. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 mph, an unusual noise sounded outside of the vehicle. The vehicle was maneuvered to the side of the road. The contact inspected underneath the vehicle and noticed that the exhaust heat shield cover detached. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and repaired. In addition, the timing peg bolt was missing from the engine and caused oil leakage. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 20,400. Js.
Right after the warranty went out the vehicle starting slamming from 1st into 2nd upon acceleration. The idle is very rough and quite loud, the engine makes a funny noise and I take extremely good care of my vehicle, getting all of the scheduled oil changes on time, replacing the air filter, etc. I also explained to them that the vehicle wasn't idling properly and that the engine used to be quiet. The windshield is extremely thin as well, a small pebble hit my windshield causing a 8 inch crack in a matter of minutes to where it was beyond getting it fixed. Then liftgate started giving me problems. When you press the button, it would make the sound, but sometimes open, then on may 17, 2013 it just quit working all together. On may 18, 2013, I took it to reynolds Ford for a scheduled oil change right before a trip to mexico and upon telling them about it, they wanted $250 just to look at it before parts and labor. Now, the rear blinker doesn't work and you can't replace it due to the fact that you can't get the liftgate to open in order to remove the rear taillight assembly. So, when you are trying to make a left turn, vehicles behind you don't know you are turning and almost hit you (safety hazard). You also can't change a flat tire since you can get to the jack, which is in the rear compartment accessed through the liftgate. This is a serious problem as there is no manual release for the hatch to get it open period, once the latch doesn't work, it just doesn't work.

While engine is underload reproduced by pressing both gas and brakes simultaenously; at acceleration and between 30-40 mph the engine makes an audible thumping noise. Ford has been unable to correct this problem and calls it normal. They indicated I should drive more aggresively (faster and forcing the engine to shift gears) in order to avoid this condition. This is dangerous and irresponsible advice that may lead to an accident. The condition may lead to engine failure.
