The contact owns a 2004 Ford Excursion. The contact stated that the horn would sound independently without the engine being powered on. The contact had to disconnect the fuse to stop the horn from sounding. The contact took the vehicle to a dealer, who stated that the horn, air bag and cruise control needed to be replaced. The dealer did not state why the horn would sound without it being engaged. The contact stated that the unit had been replaced previously but the repair did not remedy the issue. The failure mileage was 98,000.

2 Horn Assembly problem of the 2000 Ford Excursion

Failure Date: 11/21/2008

Cruise control quit working. . . . . Brushed off. . . . . . . . Then we went to use the horn and now it doesn't work with the engine on. The gem is faulty. Needs to be replaced with oem unit.
