Lower ball joint failure ,no warning. Lower ball joit ,right side-right front axle(inner and outer c/v joints. Replaced ball joit and axle at own expense. Ford said ball joints should last 100,000 miles , vehicle only has 55,600 miles.

2 Constant Velocity Joint problem of the 2001 Ford Expedition

Failure Date: 01/23/2002

While driving at 66 mph vehicle vibrates and shakes, consumer took the vehicle the to dealer, cause unknown. Consumer states cv boots failed causing front-end to squeak, the seat belt hold strap fell off, drivers window does not close properly and it makes noise and the passenger side mirror shakes while driving.
