Electrical Equipment Problems of Ford Expedition

2013 Ford Expedition. Consumer writes in regards to false alarm issues with vehicle parking aid module failure. The consumer stated when his wife started the vehicle, the parking aid warning tone was solid and emitted a loud noise, that caused a huge distraction. The consumer stated the failure was intermittent, and the faults codes were not being captured by the computer. The consumer stated once again, there was another intermittent parking aid faulty warning tone. Updated 01/30/14 Ford field service engineer recommended replacing 4 sensors in the front bumper, as well as the driver's keyless entry pad, as it had several led's that were not illuminated. The consumer was not sure, if the problem corrected, because the false warning tones, were intermittent.

While using cigarette lighter at night consumer was burned trying to put lighter back in dash, it was not lit up.

Vehicle has keyless entry and remote start functionality. Consumer has intermittently witnessed vehicle start without initiation of remote start feature.
