1 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2017 Ford Expedition

Failure Date: 05/27/2020

Automatic running boards came down when door open, as usual. They then went right back up and pinned my dogs front paws, legs between running board and car frame. Vehicle was stationary, in my driveway. I had to pull my dogs paws/legs out physically. Obviously painful. On the ring video that captured this you can hear my dog whining and struggling. I was told they see this consistently and the manual states owner is responsible. This malfunction is dangerous and cased injury, yet it is seen consistently per auto service tech at dealership. What if it had been my 88 year old mother? this could very well lead to her death at her age, had she been the one injured. Never made aware of issue at time of sale. I believe this malfunction is dangerous. And to be told they see this consistently, why is not made a more important issue? in this case the injury was to an animal. It could have been a child or as stated, my 88 year old mother. The undercarriage is cleaned every time it is washed.

2 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2019 Ford Expedition

Failure Date: 09/19/2019

Trailer brakes do not work below 11 mph. Manual states braking force is reduced. Tests by owner and dealer on 3 different trailers and an emulator show that trailer brakes are effectively disabled below 11 mph. This is a massive safety issue. We narrowly avoided an accident driving drown a gravel road, could not stop, trailer pushed us until trailer brakes were manually engaged. Ford corp stated to dealership that this is "normal for this vehicle". See attached image.

3 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2015 Ford Expedition

Failure Date: 06/09/2015

I was not able to open the rear lift gate, the window did work fine. This would happen every now and then non predictable. . The dealer replaced the latch and was amazed the electric key fob did not work of the manual lift gate. There is no emergency override!!!! if some was in the 3rd road seat, and something happened they could not get out. August 1, 2015 I went to the vet with my dog in her kennel in the back. Outside air temp was 93 degrees. I could not open the back hatch to get my dog out. I had to lower all the middle seats, open her kennel, and "convince " her to come out and walk around . I had to lift her up and put her on the ground. Being handicapped this was not fun. . Of course after the vets visit, the darn thing worked it is dangersous!!!.

4 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2008 Ford Expedition

Failure Date: 12/20/2014

My truck was put in park and I couldnt put the car in gear. I was stranded with my family for 1 1/2 . I had to do research so I went to the internet on my cell phone and found out that it was the break light switch. I also read the manual and it said to replace the fuse . I did that and it still wouldnt go into gear. I had my wife stand in the back of the car while I depressed the brakes and the light wouldnt go on. After reading on line someone had mentioned to go under the dash board and giggle the switch by the break peddle. I did and started the car and thankfully the car was able to go into gear. I had went out this morning and im still having the same problem. I jiggled the switch again by the break peddle and it worked again.

5 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2004 Ford Expedition

Failure Date: 10/01/2006

: the contact stated while performing general maintenance on the vehicle, the dealer determined the wheels did not have the adequate torque and needed to be tightened. The contact referred to the owner's manual which showed a suggested torque weight of 114 pounds, but the dealer insisted the torque should be 150 pounds. The manufacturer was alerted who informed the contact there was a NHTSA technical service bulletin #10008157, which provided the appropriate torque weight specifications. Updated 12/01/06.

6 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2006 Ford Expedition

Failure Date: 04/15/2006

Problem: Ford dvd entertainment system and the Ford dealer installed satellite radio do not work with the dual play (back seat should be able to watch a movie while front seat gets to listen to satellite radio). We found out through our 2 weeks of (the phone run around) investigation that this problem has been on going for 2 years. We also found out that everything Ford has with dual play the dvd/cd factory entertainment doesn't work with satellite radio, navigation system, ipod interface ect. Ford has told us that it is our problem because in their owners manual it doesn't say they work together??? why then is it an option??? Ford doesn't want to help us, they don't want to purchase back the dvd player. Why is it big companies can take advantage of us blue collar hard working folks? what does an average person do, I purchased a $50,000 vehicle that is an investment and Ford ignores us. Do you know where I can get helped? thank you very much trena anderson gillette, wyoming.
