10 Sun/moon Roof Assembly problem of the 2022 Ford Expedition

Failure Date: 02/20/2023

On 2/20/23 my spouse was driving northbound around 9:30 am. When she heard what she describes as a gun shot. She immediately called me and I told her to pull over to the closest and safest spot. She explained that it sounded like the glass sunroof exploded. She climbed up to find that was the case. There was a huge gaping hole right in the center of the sunroof. We immediately took the 2022 Expedition to a Ford dealership close by. The dealership stated that Ford has not issued a bulletin or recall and because of that could not cover the repair under warranty. They stated that the damage indicates that an object hit the glass. I feel that this could not be correct since the glass is facing outward and the manner of which the glass shattered. Further I searched the internet and found that there have been several others dealing with the same issue. I came here hoping that by submitting this complaint Ford owns up to the issues that their consumers are having.
