1 Carrier/rack problem

Failure Date: 09/11/2018

Goodyear fortera hl tires showed cracking after only 19,540 miles on 2013 Ford Explorer purchased new in January 2013. After this discovery, I need to replace all 4 tires. Tire numbers are dot 4b8t manufactured in canada on 3/2012.

2 Carrier/rack problem

Failure Date: 11/11/2017

As I was driving down the road, my left windshield cladding flew off of my 2013 Ford Explorer without warning or accident. The car behind me almost was in an accident swerving to avoid it. This is evidently a common problem as there are multiple cases of this happening on the Explorer from what I've seen on multiple forums. I went to my local Ford dealership to discuss with them and they basically told me tough luck and they couldn't repair it. What? really? I evidently have to go to a glass shop, buy the pieces from Ford at a cost of $400, yes that is $400. They couldn't even point me in the direction of a glass shop but were happy to take my money for something that costs a total of $90 online as they told me don't trust parts ordered online but oddly enough I should trust parts manufactured by Ford when they created the original piece and bracket that holds it(which I also have to replace as it broke as well) that flew off at 60 mph.

3 Carrier/rack problem

Failure Date: 07/14/2017

Randomly honks with and with fob in or near car and without the car running. Check engine light comes on after getting fuel, and sometimes it does not stop the gas when pumping. . . . Send a code for sensor in fuel compartment. . . . Door panels crack.

4 Carrier/rack problem

Failure Date: 12/30/2016

I purchased my vehicle as a used car coming off of a lease at a certified Ford dealership. The vehicle now has 31000 miles. The factory warranty ended 10/2016. I first noticed this problem late 12/2016. The vehicle exhibits a strong exhaust odor in the passenger cabin during all times of operation. The odor is much stronger when the vehicle is stationary (I. E. , idling at a traffic light) and is very strong during and immediately after hard acceleration. It seems as though the exhaust odor is actually coming through the vehicles ventilation system. The exhaust odor often leaves me feeling sick if I do not crack open the windows for fresh air. I have called my dealership (miller Ford, mount holly, NJ) and explained the problem. The dealership acknowledged having previous similar complaints and stated that there was a service bulletin designed to address the issue. However, since my vehicle is no longer under warranty, the cost of the repair would not be covered. I now have been driving the vehicle for approximately 3 months, enduring these exhaust fumes. I feel that this is a serious safety issue that could adversely affect my health and the safety of others if I were to become overwhelmed by the exhaust's CO. I cannot afford to just stop operating this vehicle and buy another.

5 Carrier/rack problem

Failure Date: 12/28/2015

I have goodyear fortera p245/65r17 105t tires as oem on this vehicle. The tread has dry rotted cracks just like the tires recalled in 2015. The first sign of problem was tire light coming on. Why are these tire being recalled also?.
