Fuel Injector Problems of Ford Explorer

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that upon acceleration from a stop, the vehicle experienced a loss of automotive power. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer where it was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the fuel pump and the fuel injectors were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that on another occasion while driving 63 mph, the vehicle lost automotive power. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer where it was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the fuel pump and fuel injectors were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred while driving 72 mph, and the vehicle lost automotive power. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle came to a complete stop and the contact called the police for traffic control and the vehicle was towed to a local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the fuel pump and the fuel injectors were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Explorer. While accelerating, exhaust fumes entered the vehicle through the front vents. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that there was build up from the fuel injectors, which needed to be cleaned. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

On Monday 10march2014, my 2012 Ford Explorer started and immediately stalled out, when I look at the dash it had said it had low oil pressure. The vehicle was towed to cavalier Ford in chesapeake, va where it has been determined that the high pressure fuel line and high pressure fuel pump have to be replaced. During further trouble shooting it was discovered that henderson Ford in bay st. Louis, ms had installed a fuel injector into the engine without properly ensuring the cleanliness of either the injector or the point of insertion. It has been determined by cavalier Ford that henderson Ford improperly installed a replacement part, and allowed me to drive over 1,000 miles with this problematic part in place!.

Vehicle hesitating and stalling. All six fuel injectors melted and had to be replaced. After the replacement of fuel injectors, strong gas smell, and the vehicles still currently stalls or idles to high.

September 2002: fuel injector for #3 cylinder failed, causing gasoline to be sprayed over engine. Discovered in driveway during vehicle warm-up. No indication of problem except for smell. October 2003: fuel injector for #3 cylinder failed, causing gasoline to be sprayed over engine. Failure occured at some point during driving. Discovered only due to fuel smell. No other indication. Dealer fixed both times. Concerned about occupant safety -appears as though fire could easily ignite, and lead to serious injury or death. No warning that system has failed.

Vehicle was driven and parked on the carport, under the hood compartment fire, causing the vehicle/carport to completely burn. Also, smoke damages, fir ewas cauded by faulty fuel injectors.
