Three problems related to carburetor have been reported for the 1997 Ford F-150. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Defective intake manafold gaskit caused engine coolant to leak into cylinder on top of piston when engine was started the connecting rod bent causing engine failurer.
Truck idles rough when coming to a stop , but not all the time. Truck has also stalled, at least three different times when slowing down.
Vehicle is losing coolant and will idle roughly. Problem is intake manifold. Manufacturer and dealer have been notified.
