Four problems related to brake disc rotor have been reported for the 1998 Ford F-150. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The front left tie rod broke, which caused loss of steering. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for repairs. . The dealer replaced all 4 tie rods. The rotors were replaced which caused the vehicle to vibrate when the brakes were applied.
Consumer took car into dealer for a routine inspection, and dealer said brakes where wearing unevenly. There was more pressure on inside of rotors than on outside.
While having brakes serviced technician noticed corrosion on rotors. Technician tried twice to remove corrosion off rotors,and corrosion could not be removed. Dealer replaced rotors. Please provide further information.
Braking system malfunctioned due to a defective brake rotor which cause extended stopping distance. Also had a recall for the throttle and the james hodge Ford (1800-675-5447) claimed they did the recall repairs, and gave driver an invoice. Banother Ford dealer stated the previous deale r did not fix the part that was on recall which may have caused a crash. Please provide further information.
