My son was involved in an accident on 4/22/2010 while driving a 2000 Ford F-150 4x2 two door pickup truck. Side marks at the scene revealed that the F-150s anti-lock brakes did not engage causing the truck to slide resulting in a failure to stop in time to avoid the accident. The air bag did not deploy after the front-end impact and the seatbelt did not lock causing my son to be thrown forward heating his head on the sun visor and snapping his head backward rolling his face into the roof of the truck and injuring his neck. He also bruised some ribs on the steering wheel and jammed several fingers. The seatbelt did keep him from being ejected from the vehicle but by not engaging, caused unnecessary injuries. Had he been driving at a higher rate of speed at the time of the impact he injuries would have been far more serious and even life threatening. We purchased this f150 on 1/19/2010 from the city of mount juliet, TN. The vehicle was well maintained by the city according to the vehicle maintenance records. We request to have a non-partial expert examine the vehicle to determine the cause of the safety features failure to deploy on this vehicle.
I was driving northbound on a 3 lane main road (2 lanes going one way, 1 lane going the other way) at about 40 mph. While coming up to a t-intersection (I had the right of way, the sentra had a stop sign) about 20 to 30 feet from crossing the intersection, the sentra proceeded to cross my lanes to make her left turn. As I tried to avoid the accident I ended up hitting her sentra head on. After the impact my airbags did not deploy. As for her sentra the impact was on the front left tire so no airbags deployed in her car. I have a 2000 Ford F-150 and hit her head on. . . . But no airbags deployed. Could this have been a possible defect on my truck. I had pictures taken minutes after the accident.

I was involved in an accident on 9/2/02. I was north bound on hwy 52, a car in the south bound lane of hwy 52 lost control and slid and spun across the grass median and hit my truck in the left front corner to center line of the front bumper. The point of impact on his car was left rear tire/wheel and quarter panel area to rear bumper of car (car was left broadside to me). I was going about 45 mph prior to the crash, and my airbags did not deploy on impact. I did have the passenger side airbag turned off, but due to the severety of the collision, I feel the the drivers side airbag should have deployed. If I had not been wearing my seat belt, I would have been thrown forward into the steering wheel and windshield, with no airbag to protect me from injury.
