1 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2015

The contact owns a 2000 Ford F-150. While driving at approximately 10 mph, the front driver and passenger side air bags deployed and emitted a white substance that filled the interior of the vehicle. The contact sustained bruising to both arms. The contact also stated that the right hand had numbness from experiencing the force of the air bag deployment. In addition, the contact's breathing and vision were impacted when the white substance filled the vehicle. Medical attention was required. A police report was not filed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was not available.

2 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 01/23/2005

Air bags deployed on their own while on the road. Manufacturer was contacted by consumer. While plowing snow the driver's horn started to blow then the driver's side air bag deployed. The air bag was on fire and went limp as quickly as it exploded. Due to bags going off, consumer lost control of vehicle and the right rear quarter of vehicle sustained damage when he ran into a parked truck.

3 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 08/08/2000

While driving about 50 mph truck was involved crash with a 1997 Nissan, and there was no deployment of driver's side or passenger's side air bags. Truck's front end was damaged. Truck was towed to a junk yard. Please provide any further information.

4 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 05/19/2000

While at a dead stop foot slipped off the clutch, and consumer bounced into the back of another car. Upon impact, airbags tried to deploy, but didn't all the way. Also, there was a big hole in the drivers side air bag. Consumer felt that airbags should not have been interrupted by such a small bump.

5 Side/window Air Bag problem

Consumer was involved in a head-on crash while driving 50-55 mph in which neither driver's side nor passenger's side air bag deployed, causing minor injuries to the driver . Consumer has contacted the dealer. Please provide any further details.
