2000 Ford f150 started downshifting while driving at highway speeds. The check engine light illuminated and the over drive light came on. The vehicle was taken to a service station who determined that the transmission failed.
While driving the transmission failed. The vehicle would not go faster than 40 mph. The gas pedal was pressed down but the vehicle had no power. The truck stopped in the road. The rear wheels had no power.
