38 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 10/05/2012

Vehicle engine has stopped while in motion on two separate occasions. On 5 oct 2012 while merging into traffic at about 45 mphs and once on 19 oct 2012 while coming to a stop at a red light. Was unable to restart at stop light for about 2 minutes. Very dangerous problem because I lost control of all power steering and braking. Brought it to the dealership who stated that this is a common problem among my make and year model. Dealership replaced the fuel vapor valve assembly. Remains to be seen as to whether the problem is fixed or not. Of course, the problem is not covered under the extended warranty.

When making a left turn into oncoming traffic, the engine died which disabled the power brakes and power steering. After coming to a stop, I was able to start the engine and continue driving. 41 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 04/05/2012

When declerating to a stop or stopped the engine will die. When I attempt a restart the engine will try to turn over for 10-15 seconds then stop. After 3 or 4 attemps and giving a little gas the truck will start. This has now happened 5 times to me in the past 2 weeks. I took the truck to Ford and they didnt return any codes so nothing repaired. They fit my truck with a recorder and I am suppose to press a button next time it dies. This seems to be a serious issue as I have seen dozens of posts with the same issue.

43 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 01/15/2011

While driving toward a busy intersection the vehicle lost all power! including brakes and steering! I rolled out into the major highway causing vehicles to have to swerve to miss me! this is not safe!! the emergency lights would not work, nor would anything else on the vehicle. After about a minute the power came back on to the truck as if nothing had happened. I have 2 babies that ride with me and will not take a chance of this happening again! the truck is now at the dealership and will not be picked up until the problem is fixed. I have also contacted and retained a lawyer should this major problem become an issue for me. This is obviously a vehicle defect that can be closely compared to the Toyota recall! someone is going to get killed with this problem!!.

44 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/18/2010

Sometimes around 45 to 50 mph when accelerating, the truck does a violent hard shift. It is random when it will happen and has been happening for over a year. I have taken the truck to two different dealerships several times and they keep telling me Ford is aware of it but does not have a solution. I have contacted Ford directly and they just tell me to take it back to the dealership.

45 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 04/06/2010

2010 Ford f 150 off road caught on fire and burnt very quickly. The fire started under the pickup under the drivers door and towards the back. I am not sure why it started, I have only had it for 5 weeks. We called the fire department quickly but since I live on a farm it took the fire dept about 25 mins to get out to the vehicle and by than the vehicle was completely totaled. I never saw any warning signs before the fire.
