There was no engine warning light illumination while the failure occurred. However, the contact mentioned that brake warning light illuminated when the failure occurred. The contact stated that on one occasion the vehicle stalled while driving at 55 mph. The contact was able to move onto the shoulder of the road, restart the engine and regain normal function. However, the engine failure persisted and the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where a diagnostic testing was performed but was unable to locate a failure code. The independent mechanic researched the failure and advised that the engine fuse needed to be replaced. The engine fuse was replaced but the failure was not corrected. The vehicle continued to fail to start and stalled when driving. The vehicle was not taken to a dealership to have diagnostic testing performed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.
