The contact stated that while having the vehicle serviced by an independent repair shop for routine maintenance, he was informed that the moon roof was improperly installed. The structural beams were cut out of the vehicle and the head liner was modified, which could cause the roof to collapse. As a result, the side air bag timing was modified. An authorized dealer was notified and referred the contact to their attorney. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileages were 25,000.
