1 Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe problem

Failure Date: 06/21/2022

Exhaust manifolds leak and broken studs.

2 Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe problem

Failure Date: 07/16/2021

3. 5l ecoboost. Exhaust manifold bolts brake or come loose. Resulting in warped exhaust manifold. Loss of power. On highway going 60 miles an hour when lost power and resulted in speed down to 30-20, and nowhere I could pull off highway to emergency lane. Was basically stranded. Took the vehicle into Ford dealership in roseburg oregon July 16 2021 where they told me that it was an exhaust manifold which had been already done the year prior 2019 at a cost of $1200. This time it will cost $2500. There were no warning lights or advanced notice of any problem. We were going up an incline on interstate 5 and it was like somebody turned the key off lost power and overheated.

3 Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe problem

Failure Date: 10/10/2020

While driving under a load, towing, especially up a mountain side or steep grade, the exhaust manifold started chirping, or letting out air, power was reduced, and the situation was very unsafe. Since then, power has been down, as has fuel economy. The ability to do work is gone.

4 Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe problem

Failure Date: 01/10/2016

Upon downshift during acceleration, the truck shudders, misfires, backfires through exhaust system, and loses power while creating a violent shake in the drivetrain. This occurs in below 35° dry or wet weather. This issue destroyed my catalytic converters, as well as broke loose the baffles in factory muffler causing over $2,000 in repairs for exhaust. I further replaced plugs, and plug boots. The vehicle continues to have this severe issue, and the only way to keep from further damaging the vehicle is to pull off the road, and idle as well as rev engine for several minutes. It is extremely unsafe, and nearly caused other vehicles to rear ended me on at least 5 occasions. All of which I had to jump onto shoulder of road or in median to keep from getting hit. My research shows that this is a common problem amongst owners of this vehicle. I currently owe $22,000 on this vehicle, and am quite frustrated with the lack of a recall from Ford. Solutions of a walker cac are known; however, Ford is not willing to even consider paying for this fix. Please help in the resolving of this issue?.

5 Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe problem

Failure Date: 08/05/2011

From a dead stop I excelerated to turn into her driveway the engine hesitated and stumbled it sounded like you had thrown a handful of marbles inside the intake the engine made a funny noise then died after getting it restarted the check engine light came on upon returning the vehicle to the dealership I found out it had melted the intake manifold sensors and part of the throttle body away Ford has no idea what caused this the truck is also been plagued with electrical problems. Apparently it came real close to an engine fire the truck is still broke down at the dealership since August 5, 2011.
