The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds or stopped, the vehicle independently up-shifted or downshifted without warning. Additionally, the speedometer decreased to zero and was inoperable. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the contact was informed that the solenoid failed to respond and referred the contact to the local dealer. The vehicle was taken to larry h. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA for assistance. The failure mileage was 70,000.
