While driving at 30 mph consumer tried to make a right and the vehicle kept going straight. Vehicle ended up in a ditch on the side of the road. Consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, who verified that the steering arm fell off the steering box.

2 Steering Knuckle Spindle problem of the 2002 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 02/27/2004

There was no cotter pin installed on the front driver side spindle. As a result, the entire driver side front wheel fell off and the vehicle crashed into a parked car.
