Brake Disc Rotor problems of the 2001 Ford F-250

Four problems related to brake disc rotor have been reported for the 2001 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Brake Disc Rotor problem

Failure Date: 01/22/2005

While having the vehicle serviced, it was discovered the rotors were flaky. The rotors and calipers had to be replaced.

2 Brake Disc Rotor problem

Failure Date: 09/25/2004

Vibration when appying brakes because rust on rotors. New rotors installed new rotor rusting, still have problem.

3 Brake Disc Rotor problem

Failure Date: 05/08/2002

Vehicle is hard to steer while driving. Vehicle had been to dealer and problem was reoccurring. Steering is becoming difficult to handle at higher speeds. Consumer has to continually be aware because you never know when the steering will fail. Also the front rotors needed resurfacing at 25335 miles. The right front was badly warped and was causing a vibration while in motion. It was grabbing at stops or when slowing down.

4 Brake Disc Rotor problem

While applying the brakes vehicle vibrated. Vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection. Dealer determined that the front passenger rotor broke. Also, rear brakes needed to be replaced.
