2 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 10/17/2017

Parked my truck at the post office to retrieve mail, got out and shut door, and out of the corner of my eye I saw what I thought as movement of my truck, so I turned around to see my truck starting to roll backwards , I yelled wtf, and started to chase my truck through the parking area, tried to jump in when I opened the door and I was to old and fat to do that, tried push back , but truck was to heavy to do that, so I went for the parking brake pressed it hard and fast as I could, and that worked my truck was in park, as I had my keys in my hand. The park lock on the transmission failed in some way ,allowing to roll like it was in neutral.

3 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 07/26/2015

Luckily I was stopped, but could just as well have been on expressway in heavy traffic!!! brakeline ruptured, maybe rusted through in ront of left rear wheel well, pedal wentt o the floor & only had slight amount of brakes. I called Ford customer satisfaction, they were less than concerned. See on line others have had similar issue. Seems mor of a problem than they will admit.

4 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 02/04/2014

Hitting brake to shift out of park the pedal went to floor. Steel line coming out abs ruptured where the flex section ends right above frame rail. Where I live, steep hills and sharp turns, this was very life threatening if occurred while driving! I'm not a happy camper!.

5 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/02/2013

While I was driving along a hilly, winding road the engine of my 2001 F-250 diesel 4x4 truck unexpectedly shut off. I lost steering and braking. There were no lights on the dash. There was no prior indication of any problem with the engine or electrical system. I've had the truck for 12 years at the time and never experienced any problem like this. I was very fortunate to have been able to get the truck to the road's shoulder. After the truck stopped I put the shift into park. The key was still in the run position. I simply turned it to the start position and the engine started right up. I took it immediately to the local Ford dealer who ran diagnostics on the truck. They found no indication of a problem other than one battery's voltage was slightly low, but not out of acceptable range. I replaced both batteries as they were almost 3 years old. So far, I've not experienced this problem again.

6 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 10/20/2003

When driving in slush/snow or wet road conditions and depressed brake pedal it went to the floor. When this occurred vehicle either had no brakes or the brakes locked up. As a result, vehicle was almost involved in several accidents. Dealership serviced the truck several times, but the problem recurred.

7 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2003
