Two problems related to fuses and circuit breaker have been reported for the 2001 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
We were notified by police and fire department officials that there was a fire in our yard. Our Ford 250 was on fire and had not been driven for around 4 hours. Upon investigation the fire marshall indicated the location of where the fire began and presumed it was the brake pressure switch based on its location. The car has been totaled and caught another vehicle on fire next to it.
Vehicle was parked for 75 minutes and a passerby noticed smoke and alerted consumer, who saw flames from left front wheel well. Fire was extinguished quickly by consumer. Damage limited to area within approximately 12 inches of brake master cylinder. Electrical connector burned off on master cylinder. Consumer stated that cruise control stopped working several months prior to the fire. #13 fuse found operating.
