I was driving on the highway when suddenly lost power to my truck. Fortunately I was not on a long trip with my wife and kids hauling a load. I tried to contact a dealer and was told they were unable to see me after several weeks and some calls I was able to locate one to look at my truck. After I gave my approval to repair the engine the result was $13. 23 in parts and $779. 12 in labor. Apparently a wire harness that runs under the valve covers simply came un plugged. The dealer told me this only happens to my type of vehicle and a stand off bracket needed to be put in place. I asked why this wasn't a recall item and the lady at the counter said I should call the manufacturer.
