Two problems related to power steering pump have been reported for the 2007 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Tl the contact owns a 2007 Ford F-250. The contact stated while driving and making a left turn, the steering wheel became difficult to turn. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact drove the vehicle to his residence. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the power steering pump was replaced however, the failure recurred twice. The vehicle was taken twice to sour lake Ford located at 190 hwy 105 e, sour lake, TX 77659, (409) 287-3583, to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the power steering pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 162,823.
While driving over a set of railroad tracks, almost lost control of vehicle. Took it to Ford garage, they test drove it. Replace steering box. Two years later. Steering pump broke, and the new steering box broke, while driving. Vehicle is parked, and will remain parked. Drove the vehicle last week and experienced the same incident. Could not turn the steering wheel. Turned to the left, when I tried to turn to the right, it would not turn. Was driving at about 40mph. Went off the road. It continues to act the same. This would be a great vehicle to test.
