Steering Wheel Vibrate problems of the 2019 Ford F-250 - part 1

Traveling at highway speeds on the interstate the truck began to shake violently and the steering wheel began shaking so hard that I had difficulty holding onto it. The truck was out of control and I almost went into the guard rail before I could slow down to a stop and bring the truck under control. I made it to my destination and looked at the underside of the truck and could not find anything broken. On the way back home, the truck did the same thing again after hitting a bump and I had to stop again to get the steering wheel to stop shaking - which was very concerning because of the amount of traffic I was in. There was no warning either time that this was going to happen. Going to the dealership tomorrow!.

While driving at 70mph on I-565 in huntsville, al, the vehicle suddenly began to shake violently after driving over a rough spot in the highway. Steering wheel was shaking and vehicle was shaking. I was able to stop the vehicle, and the shaking stopped and did not reoccur.

I was driving at 60 mph, when I hit a bump in the road, the steering wheel started shaking violently. Slowed down to pull off the road and the shaking stopped. Drove the rest of the way home without any vibration.

While driving my 2019 Ford f250 on the highway at around 55 mph ,hit a small rough patch on road and the steering wheel started shaking violently, almost lost control . Was able to lower speed and pulled over luckily me and my family did not crash. Ford need to be held accountable and fix this problem before someone gets killed! they need to address the problem with there steering components .

I was driving on the highway at 64 -66 mph when it went over an expansion joint in the road. The front end began to shake voilently and the steering wheel was shaking back and forth so hard I could barely gain control of the truck. I finally slowed down to about 20 mph and the shaking and sterring wheel shaking stopped. I was in the center lane and was almost rearended by 70 mile per hour traffic because of hitting the brakes so suddenly to try to maintain control of the truck. I had just bought the truck from the Ford dealership and I turned around and we went directly back and had them put it into the shop to determine what repairs that were needed. The truck is still at the dealership waiting to be inspected by their mechanic and necessary repairs determined.

I was driving down the highway at about 60 mph and upon hitting a bump experienced what I have come to know as the �death wobble� the steering wheel was shaking and presumably the tires were shaking as well because I could not gain control of the vehicle. Luckily I was in the right hand lane and could slowly brake to a stop and regain control of the vehicle. I believe, after some research, that this is due to a litany of suspension parts being loose or too weak.

Initially the vehicle was very hard to gain control of the steering while going over expansion joints on the interstate during a recent trip. Really scary event with my son in the vehicle. Today I hit a pothole while getting on the onramp to the interstate at about 65mph. The steering wheel wobbled uncontrollably. I had 2 18 wheelers beside me and traffic behind me approaching fast. I had to come to a complete stop on the shoulder while almost getting rammed in the rear. Same day I hit a small bump in the road going 70 mph and with no traffic around the same thing happened. Steering wheel vibrated uncontrollably and my wife was able to video the incident. I had to pull to the shoulder and come to a stop for the shaking to stop. 2 times in the same day for the steering wheel to shake but the 3 time in a week that I have been scared to death I was about to die in a vehicle accident.

I was driving on the freeway at 75 mph when I went over a bridge transition. The trucks steering wheel began to shake uncontrollably and I had to slow the truck down to 20 mph in heavy traffic to get the shaking to stop. The trucks brakes seemed to not work at normal levels when slowing down, I had to let off the gas to get the truck to slow down. This is very unsafe. I could barely control the truck enough to change lanes to start getting over to the emergency lane. I am hesitant to drive my truck anymore if this death wobble is going to happen again.

When I'm driving down the interstate, and I hit a pothole or uneven expansion joint, my vehicle experiences what's called death wobble. The steering wheel shakes violently in your hands, you lose the ability to control the vehicle, and all you can do is slow down and wait for it to stop. Not very safe when you're in rush hour traffic. The first time this problem happened was November of 2019, 29400 miles. They didn't have parts until January to put on my truck. The part is just a steering damper, which is a band-aid for the overall issue. Now my truck is doing it again(62,900mikes), 9 months after repair.

Driving on interstate 80 outside of reno, nevada at approximately 72 mph while turning slightly left I encountered a small bump in the road from a bridge to asphalt transition. My steering wheel began to shake violently and I had no control of truck. I could not straighten the wheel as there was a semi truck in the right lane beside me. I had to put on my emergency flashers and slow the truck to under 20 mph to regain control of the truck. Nearly causing a major accident. I thought I was going to die. Please recall this item as Ford refuses to acknowledge this extremely dangerous flaw in their vehicles. I am afraid to operate this vehicle.

I was driving down the turnpike. This is a 4 lane divided highway like an interstate. I hit a crack leading to an overpass as I was traveling at about 70 mph. The truck immediately began to vibrate violently. The steering wheel was vibrating back and forth and up and down and was difficult to hold on to. I braked and pulled the truck to the side of the road. I resumed driving at a reduced speed and everything seemed fine. On my way home the same thing happened as I was driving about 60 mph. I was driving straight, I was not applying the brakes, the weather was in the low 80's and clear skies.

I was driving on the freeway and the steering wheel started shaking very fast, and became hard. I was not able to control the vehicle, had to slow down and pull over to the shoulder. I was about to get into a car crash due to this incident. Very dangerous!.

I was driving on the freeway about 70mph when I drove over a small bump in the road and the steering wheel began to shake violently almost causing a crash. I held on to the steering wheel and slowed the truck down to around 15mph to get the shaking to stop. The truck only has 5494 miles on it and this seems very unacceptable. The wobble also happened 2 more times on that same trip home.

At speeds above 55 miles an hour when I hit a small bump I would experience death wobble. Truck has 10,000 miles on it !!! truck is not raised or altered in anyway !!!! has happened multiple times since I have owned it . .

It occurred for the first time today, when driving at 55mph I hit a pothole in the road. Steering wheel started shaking uncontrollably back and forth. Had complete inability to steer the vehicle. Immediately let off the accelerator and the shaking stopped roughly 300 yards down the road. Luckily I was on a straight stretch of road and there were no oncoming vehicles, otherwise I am not sure I could have avoided a crash or made the turn. I did a search online and there seems to be quite a few f250 owners who have experienced the same issue.

I experienced the "death wobble". I was driving on a highway in oregon and as I crossed onto a bridge on the grande ronde river at about 50 mph, the steering wheel started shaking violently. I gradually slowed down and regained control. I took the truck to a Ford dealer and they replaced the steering dampener. The service advisor told me that this was the second time that the truck had been repaired for that issue. The truck had fewer than 27,000 miles and the dampener had been replaced twice.

I have experienced the death rattle/wobble with this vehicle which I bought brand new in November 2019. The steering wheel shakes uncontrollably and so does the undercarriage. I am not a mechanic so I don't know if it's the suspension, steering wheel or the wheels themselves. When I go over 25 miles an hour after hitting a bump on the road I experience this rattling. Also I hear the rattling below the engine like a loose muffler when I go over this speed.

Sometime while the automatic level is engaged in drive the transmission stalls and then violently engage. Making a jerky motion. Steering wheel shakes a lot at 60mph on the free way.

While driving 60 mph on the freeway (posted speed limit 65mph) pulling a trailer loaded with 3000lbs of material (trailer rated for 7000lbs) that was secured with 5000lb tow strap I drove over a rough patch of concrete in the right lane. Truck felt like it was almost jumping to the left, steering wheel shaking violently, I completely lost control. The truck veered left drastically and I crossed 3 lanes of the freeway and slammed into the median wall at approximately 20 mph. More than $15,000 in damage to the vehicle. It is a miracle no one was injured.

My 2019 f250 has 21,000 miles. I purchased it used, and have had it for a few months. In 2 family trips on the interstate at highway speeds- I have experienced the �death wobble� 4 times. It most recently happened twice in 50 miles of interstate driving. At a speed of 70 mph, which is the posted speed limit. While driving over an expansion joint near a bridge overpass, which is a mild bump, the entire front end of the truck will shake violently. The steering wheel shakes violently. The cab shakes violently. Everything. Back and forth laterally. It's extremely loud. The truck is barely able to be controlled. I have to turn on the emergency flashers, get to the emergency lane as soon as I can, which is extremely difficult while in a panic situation. After coming to a complete stop, and accelerating again, does the wobble stop. If you're able to drive over the expansion joint and hit it with both tires at the same time, nothing happens. It's only when the joint is contacted at an angle. When one tire hits, then the next, is what creates the death wobble. The only way to prevent this from happening is driving at 55mph, which is not only dangerous but potentially illegal.

I was driving on the highway when the front end of my truck began to violently shake including the steering wheel! I was going 65 mph and I could barley hold onto the steering wheel it was shaking so violently! both of my wrists are swollen and bruised as well as my right thumb. My nail on my right thumb is cracked and bruised as well as a result of holding onto the steering wheel as hard as I could. I immediately slowed down as soon as I could but I swerved into the other lane and then into a ditch. I lost control of the vehicle due to this violent shaking. This has happened multiple times to me, it seems to get worse each time! this truck is not safe and I want justice. There was another vehicle coming in the opposite direction, the highway I was on was a two lane highway. If he would have been 3 seconds closer I would have had a head on collision going 65 mph! the truck shakes so violently and it is terrifying!.

Front wheels shake and steering wheel shakes after hitting rough spot or uneven area on road at speeds above 60 mph. This condition is commonly referred to as a "death wobble. " it is very dangerous and needs to be repaired or corrected. It occurs when going around a curve, but can happen when going straight.

Vehicle steering wheel shakes when driving over rough roads or bumps. Commonly referred to the "death wobble". Truck is difficult to control while the wobbling is going on. My research shows many complaints and very little action from Ford to remedy the problem. This problem is a legitimate safety concern. I believe that Ford should have a recall campaign to fix this problem. The problem is described as a defect linked to abnormal wear and/or loosening of the track bar bushing, damper bracket, ball joints, control arms, shocks and/or struts. Vehicle is currently being repaired by a private shop not the dealer.

Driving at interstate speeds, I hit a small bump in the road and the steering wheel began vibrating and turning back and forth at a high rate of speed. The front of the vehicle was shaking violently and I was forced to slow down to under 40 mph to get the vehicle back under control. I almost caused a wreck behind me from slowing down so quickly. This has now happened 3 times violently. First at less than 10,000 miles, the second at 42,000 miles and the last and most violently at 45,000 miles. I contacted the dealership, and they informed me that there was no recall, and that it was probably uneven tire wear or improper air pressure in my tires. It would not be covered by my warranty, even though I paid for the extended 100k mile platinum warranty. I have now replaced the track bar with an aftermarket version designed to correct the "death wobble" issue, and the problem has stopped.

I own a 2019 Ford F-250 king ranch. My truck has less than 15k miles on it. While traveling on the highway at approximately 65 mph I hit a small bump on the freeway which caused my steering wheel to shake violently (known as the death wobble. I was forced to immediately slow down and pull over to the shoulder before I could regain control over my vehicle.

We going down a fairly steep grade on a state highway going 63 mph, pulling my gooseneck trailer with 10k lbs of poles. I was coming up to a curve and applied there brakes as we went into the corner and then the steering wheel began to shake uncontrollably. I had to hold as tightly as I could to make the curve and hit the brakes and slowed to about 30 mph then it stopped.

At speeds above 45 mph, after driving over rough road, the steering wheel vibrates uncontrollably until speed is reduced. This is happening while in traffic and will eventually cause a serious accident or death! .

Driving on a 3 lane highway in the left lane approximate speed was 70mph. I went over a small pothole and the truck started shaking uncontrolably for about 40 seconds. I was able to slow down but was almost hit from behind as the road was crowded. When I slowed down to 40 miles an hour the shaking stopped. The steering wheel was shaking and the truck felt like it was going to come apart.

I was drivng interstate accelerating to about 75 when my front two wheels begin bouncing really bad. The entire truck begin shaking, the steering wheel was shaking. I felt like I was loosing control of the vehicle, my little girls were in the truck and witnessed the event. I immediately being braking and was almost run into from behind. The shaking continued till I slowed down to between 30 and 40 miles hours.

Driving down the highway at 70mph, I hit a rough patch on highway and suddenly the steering wheel started vibrating vigorously, whole truck was shaking and pulling to the left. I struggled to control it and began to slow down, at around 45-50mph the shaking stopped and regained control of the steering. Truck continue to have excessive shaking when hitting small bumps on highway. This happened on the day I picked up the used truck from the dealership as I was driving home, truck approximately 37,700 miles. The next day on my way to work, I hit a small bump on the highway going 72mph and steering wheel began vibrating, but was not a vigorous as day prior.

While in motion the vehicle will become unstable or completely uncontrollable at times after you hit a bump. The front end and steering wheel shake and the only way to make it stop is to slow down or stop completely. The dealership has addressed this issue twice and they do not know how to fix. Loss of vehicle control is a serious issue and this is a well known and documented issue that the manufacturer needs to address. 3 out of 4 people I know that have the super-duty trucks have this issue.

While traveling at highway speeds (roughly 75mpg) three times I hit a bump in the road and the steering wheel begin shaking violently nearly eliminating driver control. The first time it happened I was able to get to the shoulder and the shaking continued until I was nearly stopped. The next two times it happened the violent back and forth (20 degrees +/-) to either side it subsided once I slowed to around 40 mph on the shoulder. I have had the truck to the dealer prior to this to diagnose what I felt like was a faulty steering stabilizer because the steering wheel would have a jitter while going over bumps. I was informed the TSB for a new steering stabilizer was on backorder. I have a 20 second video of this happening (I was Smart enough to take one the third time it happened) but it is too big to attach. Please tell me who I can send it to.

After hitting a bump on the highway travelling at 75 mph, the front end and steering wheel started shaking violently. Nearly lost control of the vehicle. The shaking did not stop until speed was reduced to less than 35 mph.
