The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while making a turn in either direction, there was an abnormal crunching sound coming from the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. Upon investigation, the contact discovered that the sound was caused by a misalignment between the cab and the bed of the truck. Due to the failure the cab mount bushings became worn and needed to be replaced or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that there were no recalls on the VIN. The contact was provided a case number and was then referred to the NHTSA hotline to report the failure. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.

The door locks froze and the doors would not open. This left me locked out of the vehicle. Going down the road, the doors flew open. The door locks had frozen open and not closed.
Cargo bed tailgate has opened while driving/operating the vehicle on three different occasions even after the tailgate recall repair (Ford 19s48) has been applied.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-250. The contact stated there was an abnormal odor cat odor in the vehicle after a car wash or during inclement weather. I was traveling down hwy 75 north at 70to 75 mph when I hit a series of bumps in succession and it sent the truck into a highspeed wobble which would not stop. I changed lanes thinking it was the road but it continued making steering difficult. I slowed down rapidly and moved off the road in traffic to a stop finally on the shoulder. Everything checked out and I proceeded on my way. This was very abnormal it was a excessively violent shake that did not stop until I stopped.

Tailgate has opened over 30 times while driving. Recall 19s48 was preformed but problem persists. Dealer has attemped to repair 7 times. Tailgate opened on freeway leaving dealership 5 minutes after tailgate recall rewiring service. A computer memory box was installed until tailgate opened again then dash mounted tailgate switch was replaced twice. Tailgate has been damaged and repaired by dealer when opened at highway speeds while towing and contacted my trailer turning to get off the road. Very unsafe condition since truck is used primarily for towing. When tailgate drops down on highway I cannot turn vehicle of will damage tailgate and/or trailer. This forces me to pull over in emergency lane and close tailgate while vehicles drive by at speed. Ford customer care number was called and refered me to another dealer to attempt repair, but that dealer wants to charge me to diagnose problem. Ford motor company will not help in fixing this problem. Consumers need a class action lawsuit or something that will get fmc to honor recall commitment. Fmc is not supporting local dealers attempt to fix problem and is making is making consumers pay the price.

The truck tailgate opened by itself 4 times since receiving the vehicle (5 month period). It happened both while stopped and while driving. This put drivers behind me at risk for cargo spilling out, though luckily that did not happen. The last incident scratched and dented the lift gate as it fell upon an attached bicycle rack in its raised storage position. I have not yet reported it to the dealer and plan to do so when I return from a trip. No messages on the dash were noticed. The problem appeared during the first month of use, but I assumed it must have not been fully closed. Since then I have been much more careful of closing and checking the liftgate, and I still find it open or hear a thud as it fully opens while parked or driving.

For about the last 12 months, my truck has what they call the death wobble. This is happened continuously at speeds of 40 to 60 miles an hour and sometimes even takes me off the road and I have to pull over and stop. In addition, I believe the brakes went out due to the continuous wobbling.
While driving at 70mph on I-565 in huntsville, al, the vehicle suddenly began to shake violently after driving over a rough spot in the highway. Steering wheel was shaking and vehicle was shaking. I was able to stop the vehicle, and the shaking stopped and did not reoccur.
Vehicle has always vibrated at highway speeds. This last weekend it started shaking so violently that even the phone mount on the windshield came off, forcing me to pull over on i75. After checking tires and tire pressure got back on the road, vibration came back but not as severe. Have had the tires checked for alignment and balance, no issues there. Seems to only be a problem at 60 mph+.

I was traveling straight on the interstate just below the speed limit. I heard an odd noise felt the truck feel unstable. I slowly coasted to a halt to find that my rear passenger tire had blown out. The entire sidewall was disintegrated and the tire was detached from the rim. It bent in my the rear quarter panel of my bed causing an estimated $1200 in damage.

Automatic tail gate opening while driving on city street.
We were driving down the highway going 60mph. All of a sudden there was a loud bang and the rear sliding window exploded inside of the cab. We had our dogs with us lying in the back the glass flew into the back and even down our clothes. Nothing hit the truck. We immediately pulled over and got as much glass out of the car. It landed everywhere. It was very scary. The photo below is of the passenger side front seat. The glass blew down my shirt.
I had the recall for the unintended tailgate opening fixed at the dealer in July of 2020. However on multiple occasions I noticed the the tailgate would open unintentionally. I thought it was my key fob in my pocket getting activated , but soon dismissed that theory. The tailgate would sometimes open when I am shifting from park to drive. Several times it would open when I release the e brake. I have contacted the dealer, but all they can offer is " we'll take a look at it".
We just bought this truck and the old man that owned it has used a bungee cord to keep it shut but we prefer not to do that so I'm letting the proper authorities be aware that the driver's door latch won't stay shut, something wrong with the latch, the door opens when driving.

I am on my second hood. The factory hood started failing at the latch. The hood begins to crack out around the loop that locks into the latch. It came apart structure wise and I had it replaced. No recalls were found in any system. This isn't the only truck in our fleet that has done this. We've had two others. Now, after a recent replacement, here I am again with the same problem. Hood is cracking out again, around the hoop and it flies up and dances in the wind and especially passing semi trucks. This has to be a recall and I cannot be the only one with this trouble. Hood feels as if it will break away and end up on the wind screen. Picture below is of the original factory hood.
Body cab seam seal leak. New vehicles - the seals are cracking and allowing water to seep into the vehicles causing water and mold damage inside. Water enters cab into doors and underneath floor covering causing damage and potential health problems. This was found on my vehicle while performing recalls and a windshield replacement at the dealer. Dealer and Ford trying to make me pay for mfg defect.
While driving down the road the drivers door opened up unexpectedly while entering an interstate highway. The outside temperature was 89 degrees f.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford f250. The contact stated that while driving in rainy conditions, water entered the vehicle. The contact believed that the water entered the windshield area and caused the electrical wires and cables located under the dashboard and the instrument panel to become wet. The water also drained onto the brake pedal, the accelerator pedal, and the carpet. The windshield became foggy due to the failure and the defogger was activated to clear the windshield. The vehicle was taken to midway Ford (8155 w flagler street, miami, FL 33144, (786) 801-2969) several times for the failure. The dealer placed a protective seal inside and outside the vehicle windshield area and the dashboard area several times however, the repair failed to correct the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 41,000.
This is a new 2019 Ford 250 super duty truck. In February 2019 traveling at about 75 mph( on a major highway) & I hit a groove and my front end went in to a horrible heavy head shake. It was not the first time but this was the worst by far. In dallas traffic surrounded on all sides. The only way to stop this head shake is by hitting the brakes hard. To do that on a major highway with traffic on all sides is horrifying. Took it to north central Ford and there is a damper recall (among others). They replaced the damper. These dampers are not much bigger than a golf club. Are not made or rated to support a truck with over a 10,000 lb weight limit. Now here we are in July and its back in the shop. Since March there has been 2/3 more upgrades to this damper. Because of the strong head shake? it ruined other things connected to damper (drag link/bushing). Even with this new upgraded damper they expect it'll be back in. They offer a after market " dual-damper" (700$) that should correct the problem. This is a new truck and it should come with super duty parts!!! someone is going to hurt themselves and or others because of negligence. Truck should be out of shop tomorrow, I called corporate to try and get the dual damper approved and I am on hold. So as it stands this will be the 3rd damper that has been replaced since getting it in October 2019.
Employee was utilizing side step to obtain an item from the toolbox when the plastic portion of the step broke away, causing the employee to lose balance and fall to the ground. The vehicle was stationary.
All the fiberglass bkack trim and the gray door panels and the middle armrest are causing skin irritation to any person that come in touch with them. I havee owned this truck for so many years, the problem started about 4 years ago, since I only use it for towing the camper I have ignored the issue for sure this very inconvenient to sell a vehicle with only 87k because of the manufactur cheap trim or other oweners didn't complain and ignored the issue. I have not taken the truck to the Ford dealer because I have know doubt in my mind that they will tell me it's an 18 years old vehicle get another one. Yes I have the vehicle available for inspection at anytime. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my complaint.

On 1/21/2020 I was driving highway speeds on sh225, went under bw8, and the truck began shaking uncontrollably. It felt as if the entire truck was going to shake apart. I was almost in a wreck because the truck would not stop shaking and the steering was impacted. The dash, mirrors, seats, and literally everything on and in the truck was violently vibrating and shaking. Had to reduce speed to about 30mph and the shake finally subsided, after multiple cars could tell something was wrong as well - and they were seeing this happen from outside the truck! this has happened previously, to a lesser extent in December which caught me off guard and the issue subsided quicker than this time. Not sure what the issue is but it is extremely dangerous and could have seriously injured me or other drivers due to a loss of control of the vehicle. I have dropped my truck off at mac haik Ford in pasadena, TX. It is still under warranty - about 25k miles on the truck.
Frozen door latch issues, door will open but not close after sitting outside all night in the freezing cold weather. 1/3 - took vehicle in for frozen door latches and dealer did Ford's recommended fix. 1/8 - issue happened again told to bring it in a few days later 1/17 - issue happened again. Opened a case with Ford. This is a serious safety issue and it is a very wide spread problem with these trucks. This needs to be taken care of for good ASAP.
Door lactches freeze shut. Door hard to open, and once open will not latch shut.
On two occasions this winter I have had door latches on this 2017 Ford F-250 crew cab super duty freeze preventing the door from latching closed after it was opened. The mileage on the vehicle was approximately 19,700 miles. The first occurrence happened in December 2019. The morning temperature was in the mid 20's (degree fahrenheit) and the truck was parked outside overnight. After opening both front doors of the truck to load personal items and myself, I was unable to secure either front door due to the frozen latches. I tried several times to shut and slam the doors and conducted a cursory visual inspection of both latches. The defect was clearly internal and there was nothing I would be able to do at that time. After several minutes of manipulating both doors, eventually, one door latched closed. Repeated attempts with the other door were unsuccessful. I then drove approximately 2 miles to my destination, on public roads, holding the unlatched door closed with my hand. I fully accept the danger I placed myself in that day and believe many others will make the same choice when faced with a similar situation. Moreover, I believe others will travel much longer distances with frozen, unlatched doors. This frozen latch problem will only befall more similar vehicles as they age. I was aware of the potential of this problem from online forums. I received Ford's letter alerting owners of a potential fix for only vehicles which have experienced the problem. I have also seen numerous online postings that Ford's fix for the latches is sometimes unsuccessful. I have not had this procedure performed as I do not believe it fixes the issue of frozen latches and a full redesign of the latch is required. People driving these vehicles with unlatched doors is clearly unsafe. The danger is even greater if people do not realize the door is unlatched.
Have an on going problem, right rear door when below freezing will not latch. Has been to the dealership 3 times in the last 3 weeks for updates, repairs, etc. This is a safety issue as I have two young ins that ride back there. Ford need to come up with actual solution and not just pour ethonal/windsheild washer on components for a bandaid fix. I do have documentation for the visits to dealer.
The rear doors open on there own and will then not close. "fixed" once under warranty. Now a year later they again openning on there own and then are un able to be re-secured. This has happened on the road, highway, and in the driveway. Very concerned for my children who ride back there.
Tl-the contact owns a 2019 Ford F-250 super duty. The contact received NHTSA cmapaign number 19v864000 latches/locks/linkages the contact stated the tail gate contiously opened, while driving 5 mph pulling a trailer the tail gate opened and struck the trailer. The vehicle was taken to crossroads Ford of indian trail (704) 283-8521 where diagnosed the wiring harness was full of water. But not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted who provided case cas25131842-r4k3s7 but did not assist. The failure mielage was 2,100. Ap.
Doors do no stay closed. Had updates done on 11/25/19 second time on 11/27/19 door on right rear would not remain closed also drivers door did the same but was able to close after it warmed up . My 12 year old son and 15 year old daughter in the back. Is Ford going to be held accountable for a permanent repair that works. In their customer satisfaction letter says it's a one time fix. First off it needs to be a fix.
